摘要： A transmitter for a synchronizing assembly of a manual transmission has a transmitter disk and at least one clutch disk which is arranged on a side surface of the transmitter disk. The clutch disk and the transmitter disk are fixedly connected together by local welding points. A method for producing a transmitter for a synchronizing assembly of a manual transmission consists of providing a clutch disk and a transmitter disk. Then, the clutch disk and the transmitter disk are fastened together by means of projection welding. Finally, the thus formed assembly is hardened.

摘要： A method for forming a component utilizing ultra-high strength steel and components formed by the method. The method includes the step of providing a flat blank of ultra-high strength 22MnB5 steel. The next step of the method is cold forming the flat blank into an unfinished shape of a component while the blank is in an unhardened state. Then, heating the unfinished shape of the component and generating a spline form thereon. The method proceeds by forming a finished shape of the component using a quenching die resulting in a fine-grained martensitic component material structure and enabling net shape processing to establish final geometric dimensions of the component.

摘要： A hand-held work implement having a tool has a braking device for the tool that includes a brake band which wraps around a brake drum. The brake band and the brake drum undergo friction as they move relative to one another during braking. At least one of the band or drum comprises an austenitic steel, a duplex steel, super duplex steel, a nickel-base alloy or a cobalt-base alloy and has a base body and a marginal layer. The hardness of the marginal layer is approximately 150% to approximately 600% of the hardness of the base body and the carbide proportion in the marginal layer is less than approximately 0.5% by weight. A process for production of the foregoing includes diffusing carbon and/or nitrogen into a marginal layer at a temperature of less than 500° C.

A carbon fiber preform may be made of carbonized oxidized PAN fibers and may be placed in contact with a nanoparticle suspension having nanoparticles and a dispersion medium. The nanoparticles may impregnate the carbon fiber preform, causing it to become a doped carbon fiber preform. The doped carbon fiber preform may be densified. The doped carbon fiber preform may be densified by conventional CVI processing techniques. The doped carbon fiber preform may be densified by thermal gradient CVI.

The device includes additional metal parts, namely a mounting flange, which is supported on the main body via ball bearings and is rotatable relative to the main body. One end face of the mounting flange can be connected to the shaft or the drive wheel in a non-positive manner, and the other end face of the mounting flange has indentations. Other additional parts include a steel bearing ring which secures the ball bearings on the outside of the main body via a retaining ring, locking balls disposed in the indentations, and an aluminum actuator ring which presses the locking balls in the direction of the indentations with force adjustable by an adjusting nut.
