摘要： A heat exchanger core assembly includes a frame assembly and a plurality of core bundles positioned within the frame assembly. Each core bundle includes at least one row of tubing defining at least one end of the core bundle, an edge seal gasket to seal the core bundle from an adjacently placed core bundle, and an indoor face seal gasket to seal the end with respect to the frame assembly. A method of replacing a core bundle of a heat exchanger core assembly includes identifying a core bundle requiring replacement, removing the core bundle by accessing the core bundle and sliding the core bundle with respect to the remaining plurality of core bundles from the frame assembly, and inserting a replacement core bundle in a space defined by the removed core bundle.

摘要： A heat transfer plate comprises a first end area, a heat transfer area and a second end area along a longitudinal center axis of the plate which divides the plate into first and second halves delimited by first and second long sides respectively. The first end area comprises an inlet port hole, a distribution area and a transition area. The transition area adjoins the distribution area and the heat transfer area. The distribution area has a distribution pattern of projections and depressions, the transition area has a transition pattern of projections and depressions, and the heat transfer area has a heat transfer pattern of projections and depressions. An imaginary straight line extends between two end points of each transition projection with an angle relative to the longitudinal center axis. The angle varies between the transition projections and increases from the first long side to the second long side.

It is essential that the outlet openings (6a) are directed into those plate intermediate spaces (Z0, Z2) arranged between the second plate intermediate spaces (Z1, Z3) for the fluids to be mixed.

摘要： A wire standoff suitable for use in a tubular reactor, such as a reformer, is described. The wire standoff includes a portion or segment positioned between an outer reactor tube and one or more reactor components located within the tube. The reactor components and the outer tube are prevented from coming into directed contact with one another by the positioning of the wire standoff. The wire standoff can be secured to a reactor component at one of its ends or to a washer located between stacked reactor components. Prevention of the reactor components from contact with the outer tube promotes fluid flow through the reactor and can enhance heat transfer and reactor efficiency for carrying out catalytic reactions.

Devices for applying force to the frame plates, apply pressure to the plate stack. Seals are provided for sealing between the heat-exchange plates of the plate stack. A center of area of the area of the force application to the frame plate lies within an area that results from a linear projection of the area of the plate stack onto the frame plate.
