摘要： A periscope comprises an object window (4), a first reflector (5), a second reflector (6), a viewing window (7) and a display port for an electronic display (8). The first reflector (5) is arranged to reflect light from the object window (4) towards the second reflector (6). The second reflector (6) is selectively movable between a first position of use in which the second reflector (6) reflects light from the first reflector (5) towards the viewing window (7) and a second position of use in which the second reflector (6) reflects light from the display port towards the viewing window (7). The periscope provides a simple design that allows the user's view to be switched between an electronically generated image, such as night vision, and a purely optical image.

The turret can be automatically slewed in response to one of the swivel assemblies rotating. A user can switch turret modes reflecting a priority between the gimbaled sub-systems system so that one takes priority over the other(s) during a mission.

The upper reflector is beneath an upper armored plate and the lower reflector is behind a lower armored plate. The reflectors are pivotally linked together. Slats are placed between the upper and lower reflectors that block a trajectory of a projectile from entering a window aperture over which the window cover protects. The slats are placed so as to be as optically thin as possible, meaning the edge thickness is all that will be seen across the reflectors.

摘要： The invention relates to an optical sight for a combat vehicle, intended to be mounted in a weapon turret (26) of the vehicle in order to make possible sight lines at elevations between roughly null10null and 90null of a weapon barrel mounted pivotably about a horizontal axis in the weapon turret. The sight comprises a lower standard sight unit (12), which deflects vertical incident light by 90null to an eyepiece (16), and a top mirror (18), located above the standard sight unit (12) and pivotable in synchronism with elevating movements of the barrel, likewise about a horizontal axis. Positioned above the standard sight unit (12) is a deflection prism (20) which has an upper surface (22) which faces the top mirror, is inclined at roughly 45null to the vertical and is designed to reflect incident light at an angle of roughly 45null to the surface and less, but to transmit light which is incident at roughly 90null to the surface (22). The mirror (18) is arranged so as to direct incident light parallel to the barrel essentially at right angles to the upper surface (22) of the prism (20), so that the incident light, after reflection against a surface (24) lying behind, can be reflected from inside against the upper surface (22) in order then to be made to fall vertically into the standard sight unit (12).

摘要： A remote controlled surveillance and weapon system comprising a tubular, generally annularly symmetrical multiple fire weapon having an optical scope coaxially arranged in the throat thereof. An electronic image sensor is optically coupled with the scope and provides an image to a video surveillance screen at a remote station. Movement and firing of the weapon are performed from the remote station according to a view along the axis of symmetry of the weapon as viewed on the video surveillance screen. In a preferred form diametrically opposed pairs of firing bores are fired simultaneously so as to balance recoil forces about the axis of symmetry and thereby maintain alignment of the weapon and scope with a target being fired upon.
