摘要： Described herein are particle-driven radiogenomics systems and methods that can be used to identify imaging features for prediction of intratumoral and interstitial nanoparticle distributions in cancers (e.g., in low grade and/or high-grade brain cancers (e.g., gliomas, e.g., primary gliomas)). In certain embodiments, the systems and methods described herein extract and combine quantitative multi-dimensional data generated from structural, functional, and/or metabolic imaging. In certain embodiments, the combined multidimensional data is linked to intratumoral and interstitial nanoparticle distributions. For example, this linked data can be used to determine quantitative functional-metabolic multimodality particle-based imaging features and to predict treatment efficacy. These techniques provide an improved quantitative ability to measure treatment response and determine tumor progressions compared to traditional size-based imaging methods.

摘要： A method and a system for single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) imaging capable of performing a rapid acquisition of imaging data. The SPECT imaging system, placed at a fixed radial distance from the center of an object being imaged, includes a gamma detector and a collimator. The collimator, mounted on the gamma detector, includes a plurality of parallel slats, each perpendicular to the surface of the gamma detector. The method implemented by this system rapidly reconstructs a high-resolution and high-sensitivity image.

摘要： A Compton camera system and method for detecting gamma radiation, comprising a gamma radiation source, at least one fast scintillator plate P1 of which the rise time to peak light is less than 1 ns, having a thickness greater than or equal to 5 mm, equipped with an array of segmented photodetectors (5) and a dedicated fast-reading microelectronic means. The system is characterised in that it is capable of measuring the spatial and temporal coordinates (X, Y, Z, T) and energy E at at least two successive positions of a gamma photon when said photon undergoes Compton scattering at a first point A before being absorbed at a second point B, by recognising circles of non-scattered photons corresponding to each scintillation interaction. The system has a module for estimating a valid Compton event. The detection system has two scintillator plates P1 and P2.

摘要： Techniques for imaging radioactive emission in a target volume include collecting from each of multiple detectors in a Compton camera, within a coincidence time interval, location and deposited energy from an interaction associated with each high energy particle source event in a target volume, for N source events. A cone of possible locations for each source event is determined based on the locations and deposited energies collected. A SOE algorithm is initiated by selecting a random location on the cone and generating a histogram that indicates, a count of the selected locations that occur inside each voxel of the target volume. N solution locations for the N source events are determined after L iterations by updating the selected location on a corresponding cone based at least in part on values of the counts in the histogram excluding the current source event. A solution is presented on a display device.

摘要： Nuclear medicine (NM) imaging system includes a detector assembly coupled to a gantry. The NM imaging system also includes a positioning sub-system having a motion controller and a detector motor. The positioning sub-system also includes a proximity sensor device (PSD) coupled to a detector head of the detector assembly. The PSD is configured to be activated. In response to being activated, the PSD is configured to transmit an output signal to stop the detector motor from moving the detector head toward the object. The NM imaging system also includes a secondary circuit that, in response to the PSD being activated, is configured to determine whether the detector head has stopped moving toward the object and, if the detector head has not stopped moving toward the object, is configured to disable the detector motor.

摘要： This disclosure describes an imaging radiation detection module with novel configuration of the scintillator sensor allowing for simultaneous optimization of the two key parameters: detection efficiency and spatial resolution, that typically cannot be achieved. The disclosed device is also improving response uniformity across the whole detector module, and especially in the edge regions. This is achieved by constructing the scintillation modules as hybrid structures with continuous (also referred to as monolithic) scintillator plate(s) and pixellated scintillator array(s) that are optically coupled to each other and to the photodetector. There are two basic embodiments of the novel hybrid structure: (1) the monolithic scintillator plate is at the entrance for the incoming radiation, preferably gamma rays, and the pixellated array placed behind the plate, all in optical contact with the photodetector, (2) the order of the scintillator components is reversed with the pixellated scintillation plate placed in front of the monolithic plate.

摘要： A system and method for imaging gamma- and x-ray, and charged particles sources employing a three dimensional array of scintillation elements arranged surrounding an emission source. According to a preferred embodiment, each element of the array comprises a scintillator element, a solid-state photon detector, and processing electronics to output an electronic signal. The elements may be efficiently packed in both the X-Y plane and stacked in the Z-axis, to provide depth of interaction information. The elements of the array are preferably hierarchically arranged with control electronics provided together for subarray modules (e.g., an n×m×1 module), and synchronization electronics provided at a larger scale. The modules preferably communicate with a control system through a shared addressable packet switched digital communication network with a control and imaging system, and receive control information from that system through the network.

A counter block generates integration data and photon counting data associated with the photon counting detector array. Responsive to the number of detection events exceeding a second detection event count threshold, a second output may be generated based upon the integration data.
