    • The present invention relates to a system, a device as well as a method for reading out X-ray information stored in a storage phosphor plate (1), comprising a storage phosphor plate (1) and a device for reading out X-ray information stored in the storage phosphor plate (1) comprising a light source (2) for generating stimulating light (3), which can excite the storage phosphor plate (1) to have it emitting first emission light, and a detector (7) for detecting the first emission light emitted by the storage phosphor plate (1).In order to assure a reading out of the stored X ray information that is as reliable as possible, with a more straightforward configuration, at least one marking (20; 30) is provided that is arranged and configured in such a way that stimulating light (3) can impinge on the marking (20; 30) and can be at least partially reflected and/or scattered by the marking (20; 30) and/or can excite the marking (20; 30) to have it emitting second emission light, in particular luminescent light, wherein the reflected or scattered stimulating light (3), respectively, or emitted second emission light, respectively, can be detected by the detector (7), and marking information can be derived therefrom. Furthermore a control device (15) is provided that permits controlling the reading out of the storage phosphor plate (1) and/or a processing of the read out X-ray information depending on the marking information.
