摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a carrying part that carries media, a supply part that forwards the media to the carrying part piece by piece, wherein when a preceding medium is detected to have been fed to the carrying part, a succeeding medium is next fed to the carrying part, and a carrying controller that stops the preceding medium at a stop position of the media before the preceding medium is carried to the image forming process. The carrying controller obtains a medium length of the preceding medium in the carrying path, and changes the stop position of the preceding medium based on the medium length such that the trailing edge of the preceding medium is maintained distant from the leading edge of the succeeding medium while the preceding medium stops at the stop position.

摘要： A sheet supplying apparatus includes a supply part, a cover, a base tray, an interlock mechanism, and an auxiliary tray. The supply part is provided in the apparatus body. The cover is provided to be turnable between a close position and an open position. The base tray composes a part of a loading surface on which the sheet is loaded, and is movable in a conveyance direction with respect to the cover. The interlock mechanism moves the base tray by interlocking with the cover turning, and moves the base tray by interlocking with the cover turning. The auxiliary tray is displaceable between a storage position and a raising position. An engage part includes a lifting part. The lifting part comes into pressure contact with an engaged part and displaces the auxiliary tray from the storage position to the raising position.

摘要： A sheet feeding apparatus which is able to make it known that a first containing area for feeding cannot be replenished with sheets in a second containing area for replenishing. A sheet feeding cassette has the first containing area in which sheets to be fed are contained, the second containing area that is adjacent to the first containing area and in which sheets for replenishing are contained, and a sheet mover that transfers the sheets contained in the second containing area to the first containing area. A first detector detects whether or not the sheet mover is at a standby position. When the first detector detects that the sheet mover is not at the standby position, a warning is issued to prompt return of the sheet mover to the standby position.
