摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a transfer section that transfers an image onto a sheet, a sheet conveying member that is provided upstream of the transfer section in a sheet conveyance direction and conveys the sheet, and a hardware processor that controls displacement of the sheet conveying member in such a way that the sheet is displaced along the width direction of the sheet. The hardware processor performs first displacement control in which the sheet conveying member is displaced in a direction which is specified in advance with respect to the sheet and in which an edge of the sheet in the width direction is directed toward a target position and second displacement control in which the sheet conveying member is displaced in the direction opposite the direction of the first displacement.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a reading unit with a fixed reading position and configured to read a first image on a sheet and detect a position of the first image. A toner image transfer unit is configured to transfer a toner pattern to the sheet at a fixed transfer position. The toner pattern corresponds to a second image to be disposed on the sheet with the first image. The toner image transfer unit is downstream of the reading unit along the sheet feeding path. A control unit calculates a timing for transfer of the toner pattern to the sheet according to the detected position of the first image on the sheet and controls the toner image transfer unit according to the calculated timing.

The sheet conveying device further includes a data storing device, a conveyance positional deviation calculator configured to calculate a positional deviation amount of the sheet to the reference sheet conveyance position, a detected positional deviation calculator configured to calculate a positional deviation amount of the position detector to the index based on a result of the position detector, and a reference position detector configured to correct the reference sheet conveyance position based on a result of the detected positional deviation calculator.

摘要： A sheet conveyance apparatus according to an embodiment includes a conveyance roller and a register roller arranged downstream of the conveyance roller along a sheet conveyance path. A sensor unit detects a first deflection amount of the sheet and a second deflection amount of the sheet when the sheet is pressed against the register roller. A movable section is connected to at least one end of the conveyance roller. A control section determines a tilt of a rotation axis of the conveyance roller relative to a rotation axis of the register roller based on a difference in the first and second deflection amounts detected by the sensor unit. The control section controls the movable section to move the conveyance roller so that the rotational axis of the conveyance roller is positioned relative to a rotational axis of the register roller in accordance with the determined tilt.

The controller continues driving of the motor if the load torque is lower than predetermined torque in a state in which the leading end of the sheet abuts against the abutment member to deflect the sheet and stops the driving of the motor if the load torque is higher than or equal to the predetermined torque.

摘要： A sheet feeding device, which is included in an image forming apparatus, includes a sheet container to accommodate a recording medium, a sheet feeding body to press a surface of the recording medium in the sheet container and feed the recording medium in a sheet conveying direction, a pair of sheet position regulators to regulate a position of the recording medium in a sheet width direction perpendicular to the sheet conveying direction, and a load applier to contact the surface of the recording medium and apply a load to the recording medium at the surface. The recording medium is brought to move toward one of the pair of sheet position regulators while the recording medium is being fed. A lower face position in a standby state of the sheet feeding body is lower than a lower face position in a standby state of the load applier.
