摘要： An image forming apparatus includes a transfer unit, a fixing unit, a conveyance unit, and a control unit. The control unit selectively performs a plurality of modes including a first mode and a second mode. The first mode is a mode in which, when a grammage of a sheet is a first grammage, if a leading edge of the sheet has reached the fixing unit, the control unit controls the first suction unit such that suction force of the first suction unit becomes first suction force. The second mode is a mode in which, when the grammage of the sheet is a second grammage smaller than the first grammage, if a leading edge of the sheet has reached the fixing unit, the control unit controls the first suction unit such that the suction force of the first suction unit becomes second suction force smaller than the first suction force.

摘要： An image heating apparatus for use with an image forming apparatus includes a pair of rotatable members configured to form a nip for heating an image on a recording material; a guide member configured to guide the recording material toward the nip; a supporting mechanism configured to rotatably support the guide member about an axis so that the guide member is movable between a first position where the guide member guides the recording material and a second position where the guide member blocks at least a part of a feeding path of the recording material; and a locking mechanism configured to lock the guide member being in the first position. The locking mechanism releases locking with sliding movement of the guiding member in a direction of the axis.

摘要： In accordance with one embodiment, a color erasing apparatus comprises a conveyance path, a color erasing section and a control section. The conveyance path conveys a sheet. The color erasing section erases the color of an image formed with color erasable recording agent serving as recording agent containing coloring agent the color of which can be erased by heating. The control section carries out a control, in a case where the image formed on the sheet is not an image formed with the color erasable recording agent, so that the sheet is not subjected to a color erasing processing by the color erasing section.

The conductor comprises: a central portion, and a pair of end portions and are configured to protrude towards the recording sheet from a virtual plane extending from the central portion in the width direction. Protrusion amounts of the end portions with respect to the central portion are smaller than a protrusion amount of each rib from the central portion of the conductor.

The transferor opposes the image carrier to form a transfer nip and transfers the toner image on the image carrier onto a recording medium at the transfer nip. 摘要： The image forming apparatus includes an image forming portion forming a toner image on a recording material, and a fixing portion heating and fixing the toner image formed on the recording material to the recording material, wherein the apparatus has a cleaning mode in which the fixing portion is cleaned, and when the cleaning mode is set, the image forming portion forms a predetermined toner image on the recording material, and the fixing portion then heats and fixes the predetermined toner image to the recording material to form a cleaning sheet which is heated and conveyed to clean the fixing portion. By the virtue of the present invention, it achieves high cleaning performance in which the fixing portion is cleaned by the cleaning sheet.
