(1) A squared-sum of the difference of primary moment functions and a squared-sum of the difference of secondary moment functions are separately sought at sample points of polyhedron Ma, Mb, normalize them and compute the sum of both, or seek sum functions of the primary moment functions and the secondary moment functions to compute the squared-sum of the difference of the sum functions, the primary moment function all the sample points of polyhedral data that occupy central symmetry directions are blended in the same sign, which is the different sign in the case of the secondary moment function, the functions having variables representing points on a surface of a sphere of which center is the center of gravity of the polyhedron and a value which is an axial moment value, the axis defined as a line through the points and the center, and (2) in the case that the value of the sum is a certain threshold or less, it is determined that the polyhedrons are similar in shape.

摘要： A technique for generating virtual models of plants in a field is described. Generally, this includes recording images of plants in-situ; generating point clouds from the images; generating skeleton segments from the point cloud; classifying a subset of skeleton segments as unique plant features using the images; and growing plant skeletons from skeleton segments classified as unique plant feature. The technique may be used to generate a virtual model of a single, real plant, a portion of a real plant field, and/or the entirety of the real plant field. The virtual model can be analyzed to determine or estimate a variety of individual plant or plant population parameters, which in turn can be used to identify potential treatments or thinning practices, or predict future values for yield, plant uniformity, or any other parameter can be determined from the projected results based on the virtual model.

The level-set information comprises a shortest distance from a surface of the target fluid to the fluid particles. The method and apparatus are include discarding internal particles of the target fluid from the modeled target fluid based on the level-set information of the fluid particles, and calculating thickness information of the target fluid, from which the internal particles are discarded, based on depth information on the fluid particles. The target fluid is rendered based on the thickness information of the target fluid.

摘要： Concepts and technologies are described herein for providing raster-based mesh decimation. Generally described, input data defining a model is processed to render the model as a depth map from a multitude of perspectives. By capturing depth map data from a multitude of perspectives, components of the model that are visible from the multitude of perspectives are captured in the depth map data and components that are blocked by the visible components are not captured in the depth map data. Point cloud data is generated by merging the depth map data captured from the multitude of perspectives. Output mesh data is generated by applying a surface reconstruction to the point cloud data. One or more mesh decimation algorithms may be applied to the mesh data. Image data may also be captured from the input data and applied to the output mesh data.

The method further comprising classifying points within the set of near measurement points associated with the hypothesized extruded object as on-surface or off-surface. The method further comprising rejecting the hypothesized extruded object whose off-surface measurement points exceed an allowable threshold.
