According to this disclosure, an elapse time period between an end time point of ramp-down and a time when a first scan pulse is applied is maintained to be uniform even when a ramp-down slope is different in such a manner that a comparator of a scan electrode driving circuit compares an output voltage with a reference voltage and a logic control circuit outputs a control signal to a logic control circuit when the output voltage is equal to the reference voltage. Accordingly, the method for driving the AC type plasma display panel is capable of improving an address characteristic and a driving margin.
