摘要： A musical instrument adapted for use with a turntable. Said apparatus uses a rotary pulse generator to create musical tones when in contact with the rotating platter of the turntable. Said apparatus mounts to the turntable in such a way that a rotary pulse generator rotates when in contact with the rotating turntable platter. As the radius at which the rotary pulse generator contacts the turntable platter is increased the frequency of the tone produced increases proportionally, likewise when the radius at which the rotary pulse generator contacts the turntable platter is decreased the frequency of the tone produced decreases proportionally allowing a range of pitches to be sounded.

摘要： An adaptor to be employed in conjunction with a phonograph record spindle which is to accommodate a stacked assemblage of phonograph records. The adaptor is to facilitate locating of individual records onto the adaptor, yet also permits easy removal of the entire stacked assemblage of records. The adaptor includes a cylindrical enlarged exterior surface which terminates at its lower end thereof in an annular protruding flange. The bottom record of the stacked records is to rest against this flange. A centrally located opening is formed within the adaptor and is to accommodate the phonograph record spindle. This opening is to have a side wall which is to function to continually depress an outwardly biased elongated blade which is pivotally mounted in conjunction with the spindle. This blade is deemed to be part of conventional phonograph record apparatus and forms no specific part of this invention. The upper end of the adaptor is tapered so as to guide the insertion of the phonograph records upon the adaptor.

摘要： Provided is an automatic record player capable of changing discs automatically. The record player includes a spindle having holder claws for holding the record disc and a large gear adapted to be rotated in accordance with the rotation of the turn table of the player and to move the pickup of the player. The large gear is provided with a first cam groove for continuing the playing and a second cam groove for ceasing the playing, and a switching member adapted to guide a guide pin of a pickup driving member selectively to either one of the cam grooves. The switching member in turn is adapted to be controlled by a switching controlling member. The switching controlling member is adapted to be engaged, when at least a record disc is held by said holder claws, by a spindle shaft which has been lowered due to the weight of the disc to a predetermined lowered position, and biases the switching member so as to make the latter guide the guide pin of the driving member into the cam groove for continuing the playing. To the contrary, when there is no disc carried by the holder claws, the switching controlling member is not engaged by the spindle shaft, because the latter is not lowered, so that it is moved to an inoperative position where it biases the switching member such that the guide pin of the pickup driving member into the cam groove for ceasing the playing.

Groups of clamping and supporting levers are accommodated in a tube, and move outward in response to movement of respective clamping and control sleeves during a changing cycle. The sleeves are separately movable with respect to a single actuating rod, which is controlled by the changing device. The control sleeve is locked to the tube for a given range of movement of the actuating rod, while the end-stop function is signalled by blocking movement of the actuating arm.

Layers of flexible cushioning material in the form of annuli of precision cut upright pile fabric are attached respectively on opposite sides of the flange for engaging the recording area of overlying and underlying records. In use such accessories may be interleaved in a record stack for stack storage or for stack play on an automatic record changing phonograph; and, a single accessory may be used as a free turntable cover.

摘要： An automatic record player changer mechanism comprising a cylindrical shaft with a grade near its top end, shaped through an eccentric rabbet defining a half-moon shaped support. A longitudinal groove is within the shaft and runs the entire length thereof. Attached to the top end of the shaft by means of a shank and within the groove is a tongue of two identical laminar pieces having longitudinal openings therein. The records are stacked on the tongue and shaft. Within the groove in the shaft below the tongue is a lever with its fulcrum near the midpoint of the lever. The lever widens at its top end to form a horizontal flange and is connected at its bottom end to a lever connected to the pick-up mechanism. A notch is cut in the upper portion of the lever to define an oblique cam surface which when encountering a traverse shank causes the lever to move axially upward and move the record laterally so that it can by gravity fall onto the turntable.

摘要： A simplified phonograph record changer mechanism is provided wherein after the last record has been played, a shut-off stud on the cycling gear contacts a shut-off lever. This imparts a movement to the shut-off lever and causes it to coact with other parts of the changer mechanism effective to move the changer motor power switch to its OFF position. The shut-off lever is positioned to interfere with the shut-off stud''s path of travel only after the last record has been played which is determined by the position of the stabilizer arm stab shaft. At all other times, the shut-off lever is positioned so that the shut-off stud will not contact the lever.
