摘要： In order to perform processing of analyzing card data in an appropriate amount of time depending on the number of tracks actually present on a magnetic stripe with use of a single demodulation circuit, the single demodulation circuit produces, based on magnetic data read by a magnetic head, a single common card running signal obtained by ORing card running signals of tracks present on the magnetic stripe of the magnetic card, a clock signal of each track present on the magnetic stripe, and a data signal of each track present on the magnetic stripe. A card running signal generation circuit generates, based on the common card running signal and the clock signal of each track, an individual card running signal of each track present on the magnetic stripe. A data analysis processing unit determines, based on presence or absence of the individual card running signal, presence or absence of a track on the magnetic stripe to perform processing of analyzing the data signal only for the track determined to be present on the magnetic stripe.

摘要： Noise generation in transferring data is suppressed or prevented by transferring data at a data transfer rate according to the amount of data to be transferred to a memory. In a reproducing apparatus, when a read unit or both reads data from a storage medium or both, a determination unit determines the type of the storage medium from which the data is read, then, according to the determined type of the storage medium, a transfer rate change unit orders a data transfer unit to use a preset transfer rate corresponding to the type of the storage medium. The data transfer unit transfers the read data to the temporary storage unit at the ordered transfer rate. This allows data to be transferred without a significant change in the amount of data transfer, which suppresses or prevents noise.

摘要： To provide an application life cycle management method for use in switching a movie work that is a playback target within a storage medium on which a plurality of movie works are stored, which is equivalent to one for use in replacement of BD-ROM discs. When a playback target is switched within a local storage on which a plurality of movie works are stored, a playback device, which includes an input unit for issuing a movie work switching request, performs processing with use of a user operation performed on the input unit as a trigger, instead of the medium status change between ejection and insertion. This allows application life cycle management equivalent to one in the case of BD-ROM disc replacement.
