Alternate branches of pre-recorded content, each including alternate endings, may be displayed based on the expressed desires of a majority of viewers. The system also generates content from existing three-dimensional (3D) models of characters, and specific settings and backgrounds and 3D models generated from new images. Automatically generated content, generated from the existing 3D models or the 3D models created from the new images, may be displayed according to the expressed desires of a majority of viewers.

The method includes: detecting whether an IPTV service system is accessible for a terminal or not; and when the IPTV system is detected to be inaccessible for the terminal, providing a video for the terminal through a Content Delivery Network (CDN) subsystem. By the technical solution, the technical problems that the user cannot enjoy services such as the video service in case of upgrading, server failure or network failure in the related technology are solved, and live video service can still be provided for the user even though the service of the IPTV service system is inaccessible due to upgrading, server failure or network failure.

Such data streams may be music, including music videos. Users may indicate their general or specific preferences with regards to song, artists, or albums. Any other aspects or factors that might affect the user's preferences can be taken into account. A playlist is created that combines all of these factors. The playlist then serves as the basis for feeding the data streams to the user. Each user is able to express his or her own preferences and receive music corresponding to those preferences on an on-going basis.

Preferably, the performing step includes the steps of receiving a master SI table which locates in a master SI table location in provisioning information, wherein the provisioning information includes multiple elements, an EPG provider information element in the multiple elements having both a first target virtual channel map identifier element and an EPG data locator element, the first target virtual channel map identifier element indicating that services are covered by each of the EPG metadata provider's EPG data sources, receiving a virtual channel map table which locates in virtual channel map locations in the received master SI table, receiving a virtual channel description table which locates in virtual channel description table locations in the received virtual channel map table, and receiving a source table which locates in source table locations in the received virtual channel description table.

摘要： A computer implemented method is for generating a media playlist including a plurality of tracks to be played on a listener's mobile or stationary client device with Internet radio capabilities, the client device intended to be connected to the Internet. The method comprises: obtaining, as a listener's input into the listener's client device, a playlist definition; selecting, from a plurality of tracks, tracks meeting the playlist definition to form the playlist, wherein the playlist is formed by playlist entries that include track identifications referring to selected ones of the plurality of tracks; tracks present in a remote master media inventory, tracks present in an Internet-based cloud memory environment, and tracks present in a local media content inventory of the listener's client device form the plurality of tracks; selecting tracks that meet the playlist definition includes comparing the playlist definition with entries for tracks in a metadata encyclopedia which includes metadata derived from a master metadata encyclopedia referring to the tracks present in the remote master media inventory and the tracks present in the cloud memory environment, and the local media content inventory kept in the local listener's client device; the metadata encyclopedia is kept locally in the client device; and each entry in the local metadata encyclopedia refers to a respective track and includes at least one track descriptor and at least one similarity data descriptor; and providing the playlist to the listener's client device for obtaining the tracks indicated on the playlist for playing the tracks in the playlist in an order defined in the playlist.

The control system and method receive a command to log into an account before receiving a playlist, receive and display the playlist identifying a plurality of songs in a menu with context sensitive icons representing different functions, receive and display information associated with an artist from a currently playing song of the plurality of songs in the playlist, receive and display information on a related song that is from a genre similar to that of one of the currently playing song, and receive and display advertising. The method provides for the speaker to play the plurality of songs.
