A recordable optical recording medium including a substrate on which a reflective layer, a recording layer containing an organic dye, a protective layer, and a single-layered light transmission layer are laminated in the stated order, the recording layer being formed of the organic dye having a decomposition starting temperature of 240° C. or less.

A recordable optical recording medium includes a substrate, and on the substrate, a reflective layer, a recording layer, a protective layer, a light transmission layer in a single layer structure having optical transparency, and a hard coat layer. The recording layer is formed by addition of an additive which functions as reducing agent to an azo metal complex dye having a triazole structure.

摘要： The present invention provides a hologram recording material which is not required to be subjected to pre-exposure treatment at the time of recording, attains high refractive index change, high sensitivity, low scattering, environment resistance, durability, low dimensional change, and high multiplicity, and is suitable for volume hologram recording. Also, the present invention provides a hologram recording medium. A hologram recording material comprising a matrix material having a softening temperature of 50° C. or higher, and a photopolymerizable monomer which is in a liquid phase state at room temperature. The matrix material is preferably contained in an amount of 50% by weight or more and 90% by weight or less of the whole of the hologram recording material. A softening temperature of the hologram recording material is preferably 0° C. or higher.

摘要： Photosensitizing dyes are often used in conjunction with a photoacid generator in holographic recording media. Conventional photosensitizing dyes typically are limited by having an appreciable absorption of light when used in a sufficient concentration, such that the intensity of light decreases significantly with penetration into a recording medium. The present invention discloses a number of new 5-alkynyl substituted napthacene photosensitizing dyes that have low extinction coefficients coupled with good sensitizing properties, such that the problems associated with the photosensitizing dyes absorbing light are significantly reduced.
