    • An electrical switch is disclosed, especially an electrical circuit breaker, including an overcurrent tripping device which, in the event of an overcurrent situation, switches off the flow of current through the switch; and a thermal tripping device which, in the event of a thermal overload, switches off the flow of current through the switch. In at least one embodiment, the overcurrent tripping device includes a first shaft which is disposed such that, in the event of an overcurrent situation, it is rotated from a first position into a second position and thereby indicates the overcurrent situation; and the thermal tripping device includes a second shaft which is disposed such that, it is rotated in the event of a thermal overload and is also rotated as well in the event of a rotation of the first shaft and when rotated initiates a switching-off of the switch.

    • The present invention discloses an adjustable electromagnetic release. A magnetic yoke is fixed on a bracket. A conductor passes through the bracket and the magnetic yoke and is mounted on the bracket. A shaft is mounted on the top of the bracket and is above the conductor. A push rod is mounted on the shaft and rotates with the shaft about the bracket. An armature is fixed on the push rod, the armature and the magnetic yoke are spaced apart. Adjusting mechanisms are mounted on the shaft. The adjusting mechanisms are mounted between the push rod and the bracket and on both sides of the push rod. A torsion spring is surrounded on the shaft and is within the adjusting mechanism. The adjusting mechanism contacts with the push rod. An adjusting rod is provided with a plurality of adjusting surfaces which contact with the adjusting mechanism. The adjusting rod is able to move along the longitudinal direction. The spring force of the torsion spring enables the push rod rotates towards a direction which makes the armature and the magnetic yoke separate. When large current passes through the conductor, the armature and the magnetic yoke attract each other under the electromagnetic force. When the electromagnetic force is larger than the spring force, the push rod rotates towards a direction which makes the armature and the magnetic yoke close. The push rod strikes the release mechanism to release and cut off the circuit. The electromagnetic force disappears, the push rod resets under the spring force of the torsion spring.

    • Disclosed is a molded case circuit breaker having an instantaneous trip mechanism capable of instantaneously breaking a circuit upon occurrence of a fault current, the circuit breaker comprising: a main circuit unit present in a lower compartment of the molded case circuit breaker, and configured to open or close a circuit by having a stationary contactor and a movable contactor rotatable to contact with or separated from the stationary contactor; a switching mechanism present in an upper compartment of the molded case circuit breaker, and having an open position where the switching mechanism is connected to the main circuit unit to drive the main circuit unit to open a circuit, and a closing position where the switching mechanism drives the main circuit unit to close a circuit; an instantaneous trip mechanism present in the upper compartment, and operating by an electromagnetic attraction in response to generation of a fault current on a circuit so as to trigger the switching mechanism to the open position; and an intermediate insulation barrier installed between the upper compartment and the lower compartment for electrical insulation by partitioning the lower compartment having the main circuit unit and the upper compartment having the instantaneous trip mechanism and the switching mechanism.
