    • A circuit protection device is provided for use with a circuit that includes at least one pair of conductors. The protection device is configured to generate an arc. The protection device includes at least a pair of electrode assemblies electrically coupled to the at least one pair of conductors and a conductor base to support the pair of electrode assemblies. The protection device includes a cover coupled to the conductor base and defining at least one isolation chamber, wherein the electrode assemblies are disposed within the isolation chamber. The protection device includes a containment shield moveably coupled to the cover. The containment shield defines a containment chamber configured to contain charged particles produced by the arc. The containment shield is operative to move relative to the cover in response to a change in pressure produced by the arc within the containment chamber. An isolation assembly is coupled to at least one of the cover and the containment shield and configured to prevent the cover from contacting the containment shield.

    • A contactor assembly is adapted for switching power to a circuit having a power source. The contactor assembly includes a housing, carry contacts, and arc contacts. The housing defines an interior compartment and includes internal chamber walls that laterally extend within the compartment to define a protection chamber. The carry contacts are disposed in the protection chamber of the housing. The carry contacts include conductive bodies that protrude from the housing and are configured to close the circuit. The arc contacts are disposed in the housing outside of the protection chamber. The arc contacts include conductive bodies that protrude from the housing and are configured to close the circuit. The internal chamber walls of the housing prevent material that is expelled from one or more of the arc contacts when an electric arc emanates from one or more of the arc contacts from contaminating one or more of the carry contacts.

    • Disclosed a trigger switch including fixed contacts forming main contacts double in series and functioning as a switch for supplying a motor with power and slide plate parts connected to the fixed contacts; and movable contacts provided in an actuator interlocking with an operation part and auxiliary contacts sliding on the slide plate parts. Drawing the operation part causes the actuator to move forward making the movable contact come into electric contact with the fixed contact to supply the motor with power, simultaneously making the auxiliary contact bridge over the slide plate parts to achieve electric contact to make no potential in the contact between the movable contact and the fixed contact. Releasing the operation part make the movable contact separate from the fixed contact, simultaneously making the auxiliary contact bridging over the slide plate parts cause a break of the contact with the slide plate part.

    • Provided is an electromagnetic relay which does not require a braided wire for securing a current capacity of a main contact unit. The electromagnetic relay includes a main contact unit inserted into a power supply path to a load and an arc contact unit connected in parallel to the main contact unit. An auxiliary contact unit is electrically independent of the main contact unit and the arc contact unit. The main contact unit includes a main fixed contact fixed to a frame body and a main contact spring made of a leaf spring and fitted with a main mobile contact which is attached to and detached from the main fixed contact. The arc contact unit and the auxiliary contact unit are arranged adjacent to each other. The main contact spring extends in a direction in which the arc contact unit and the auxiliary contact unit are arranged. Therefore, the main contact spring can be formed with a large length in the frame body and the sectional area can be enhanced without increasing a spring constant, thereby not requiring a braided wire.
