摘要： A connector assembly having a first member and a second member, wherein the first member has a substrate with a face extending in the fore-and-aft and side-to-side directions, resilient members, contacts, and locking portions. The substrate is provided with inclined faces gradually approaching said face in the fore-and-aft direction. The second member has a housing, electrical contact portions, and counterpart locking portions. As the second member is guided along the inclined faces and approaches said face, the contacts and electrical contact portions are brought into electrical contact and the second member is biased as a result of contact with the resilient members. At the same time, the counterpart locking portions of the second member are engaged by the locking portions of the first member.

摘要： A back shell is described herein. The back shell is configured to be attached to a connector body defining a first attaching feature in its outer surface. The back shell has an attachment portion defining a second attaching feature and a generally tubular support portion extending from this attachment portion. The second attaching feature is configured to engage the first attaching feature of the connector body to secure the back shell to the connector body. An outer surface of the attachment portion of the back shell defines a third attaching feature that is identical in configuration and function to the first attaching feature.

摘要： A connector includes a housing and a front holder. The front holder includes an arm portion to be exposed at a side surface of the housing. The housing includes a pair of extension walls on the side surface of the housing to cover the arm portion. The pair of extension walls has a first part and a second part. In the first part, a distance between the extension ends of the extension walls is constant. In the second part, the distance increases gradually as they extend away from the first part in the attaching direction. A distal end of the arm portion is in a position corresponding to the second part when the front holder is in a final lock position, and the distal end of the arm portion is in a position corresponding to the first part when the front holder is in a preliminary lock position.

Since the locking pieces (26) can be made smaller than prior art ones, deformation spaces therefor can also be made smaller, which enables the miniaturization of a housing main body (11) or the miniaturization of male and female connectors (50, 10).
