摘要： A single chip dual-channel driver for two independent traveling wave modulators. The driver includes two differential pairs inputs per channel respectively configured to receive two digital differential pair signals. The driver further includes a two-bit DAC per channel coupled to the two differential pairs inputs to produce a single analog differential pair PAM signal at a differential pair output for driving a traveling wave modulator. Additionally, the driver includes a control block having internal voltage/current signal generators respective coupled to each input and the 2-bit DAC for providing a bias voltage, a tail current, a dither signal to assist modulation control per channel. Furthermore, the driver includes an internal I2C communication block coupled to a high-speed clock generator to generate control signals to the control block and coupled to host via an I2C digital communication interface.

摘要： Optical signaling is implemented by modulating visible light with variable pulse position modulation (VPPM). VPPM is a composite waveform and its optical signal includes a Start Frame Delimiter (SFD) which indicates start of optical signaling. To identify modulated lights, the duty cycle is periodically changed in the waveform to induce an AM envelope at a frequency higher than the response of the human eye. The signal is then sampled via a camera producing an alias frequency that produces noticeable blinking. Because the communication is asynchronous, the desired camera frame rate (fc) in relationship to the modulation bit rate timing clock (or symbol rate, fs) is only approximate. Consequently, a frequency offset develops between the camera frame rate (fc) and the symbol rate (fs) in transmission of long packets. The disclosed embodiments provide a detection algorithm, system and apparatus to provide clock offset tracking and correction.

摘要： A light emitting device with a dimming visible light communication function and an interaction device applying for visible light are provided. The light emitting device with the dimming visible light communication function comprises a luminance adjusting unit, a control circuit and a light emitting device. The luminance adjusting unit outputs a luminance adjusting signal according to luminance adjusted by a user. The control circuit coupled to the luminance adjusting unit outputs a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal according to the luminance adjusting signal. The light emitting device outputs visible light, receives the PWM signal, and is turned on or off according to states of a logic high voltage and a logic low voltage of the PWM signal. In an idle mode, the PWM signal operates at a first frequency. In a light communication mode, an operating frequency of the PWM signal is changed according to transmitted data.
