摘要： The present invention relates to a method for a user to adjust the contents of the closed-captioning based on a user's language skill and other needs. The method comprises the steps of: receiving closed captioning contents; determining sub-difficulty levels of the closed captioning contents by comparing the closed captioning contents with at least one classification database; grouping sub-difficulty levels based on preset ranges into difficulty levels; and displaying and adjusting closed captioning contents at difficulty levels chosen by the user.

摘要： A digital broadcast receiver includes: a receiver that receives a broadcast signal of a physical channel in digital broadcasting; a current position detector that detects a current position; a current region determiner that determines, as a current region, a region to which the current position belongs; a receivability determiner that controls the receiver to determine whether the broadcast signal of the physical channel can be received; a storage unit that stores receivable area information indicating a receivable area where the broadcast signal of the physical channel can be received; and an updating unit that, when the receivability determiner determines that the broadcast signal can be received, obtains, out of the stored receivable area information, receivable area information for the current region indicating a receivable area in the current region, and performs an update process to update the receivable area information for the current region based on the current position.

A translation module including at least one language pair module for translating a source language to a target language may be made available for use by a subscriber. The subscriber may be charged a fee for use of the requested on demand translation service or may be provided use of the on demand translation service for free in exchange for displaying commercial messages to the subscriber. A video signal may be received including information in the source language, which may be obtained as text from the video signal and may be translated from the source language to the target language by use of the translation module. Translated information, based on the translated text, may be added into the received video signal.

The present invention includes a receiving module configured to receive the digital service signals having contents and receive URL information for additional data related to the contents, an extracting module configured to extract logo data for indicating contents provider from each of the video frames of the contents, wherein the logo data is located in a specific area in the each of the video frames, a comparing module configured to compare the extracted logo data with stored logo data to obtain channel information of the contents, an obtaining module configured to obtain the channel information of the contents from metadata related to the logo data and obtain the additional data related to the contents and a generating module configured to generate a request for obtaining the URL information using the obtained channel information, wherein the receiving module receives the URL information using the generated request, wherein the obtaining module obtains the additional data over an IP (Internet Protocol network) according to the URL information.

An identifier of a video stream is received from a user of the client device, the video stream being accessible though a media device coupled to at least one input port of the client device. A device-agnostic request is sent to a media device service executing on the client device to acquire the media device and to obtain the video stream from the media device, the media device service being configured to map the device-agnostic request to a device-specific request for the media device. In response to the device-agnostic request, the video stream is received through the at least one input port. A user interface is generated including the video stream. The user interface including the video stream is presented on an output device coupled to the client device.
