Such methods include the step of providing a first tread portion and a second tread portion for forming a joined tread, each tread portion comprising a section of tire tread extending lengthwise from a terminal end. Additional steps include providing a first fixture configured to retain the first tread portion and a second fixture configured to retain the second tread portion and securing the first tread portion into the first fixture and securing the second tread portion into the second fixture, each of the first and second fixtures being arranged within the first and second fixtures such that the terminal end of each tread portion is in communication with a joining side of each fixture. The methods further include directing the terminal ends towards each other and into forceful engagement with an elastomeric joining material arranged between the terminal ends.

The first feeding device and the second feeding device correspond to the longer side and the shorter side of the optical display unit, so that the optical film having a width corresponding to the shorter side may be cut to a length corresponding to the longer side, whereas the optical film having a width corresponding to the longer side may be cut to a length corresponding to the shorter side.

摘要： A method of making an elastic composite is provided. The method entails conveying a first web of material along a web plane path. The method also entails applying a first section of a first elastic strand onto the first web and generally transversely to the web plane path and applying a second section of a second elastic strand onto the first web and generally transversely to the web plane path. These applying steps are repeated while performing the conveying step, thereby arranging a plurality of first and second elastic elements on the first web, in generally parallel relation to one another. The resultant composite is suitable for incorporation into a disposable absorbent garment, textile or fabric structure, and the like.

Such membranes may further incorporate a back dam structure that is disposed proximate to the rearward edge of a sill plate (i.e., disposed toward the interior of the structure) to direct water towards the front edge of the sill plate (i.e., toward the outside of the structure). Further, such membranes may include wicking material on one or more surfaces to allow for directing water out of a building structure. In various arrangements, one or more flexible membranes may be utilized to create an open fronted sill pan.

摘要： A masking device is produced by folding a first material to form a pleat that serves as an extension or handle, for the device. By folding the first sheet of material at three fold lines, a pleat is formed. If the piece of material is coated with adhesive prior to the folding process, two adhesive-coated surfaces will face each other within the body of the pleat, helping to attach two segments of the pleat together to form a more permanent and more rigid extension. The extension, or handle, extends from an unfolded portion of the first piece of material and facilitates the removal of the masking device from either a backing sheet or a surface which is protected by the masking device. The handle also facilitates the application of the masking device to the surface to be protected.

摘要： A handle is carried upon a frame at a balanced point thereof for supporting the hand held masking in a generally balanced orientation when lifted. The handle includes an open free end accessing a chamber for removably storing selected items. The handle also includes a capping member detachably engageable with the open end for selectively closing the open end, and may include a lanyard attached thereto. A roll of tape or paper is releasably retained upon a roll holder by a flexible retention member, carried by the holder and normally outwardly biased to engage the core of the roll. More specifically, the retention member includes a mandrel having normally extending biased segments which engage the bore of the roll. A pivotally connected tensioning member is biased to urge a free end thereof against the outer surface of the paper roll to check uncoiling of the paper sheet. The free end of the tensioning member includes a lifting portion, accessible by a finger of a hand maintaining a grip upon a handle, for releasing the free end from the outer surface of the roll of paper. A cutting means is also provided having a male/female engagement pair for securing a blade portion to the frame, the male engagement element carried by the blade portion, and the female engagement element carried by the frame.
