摘要： A method for the secure protection of a portion of the surface of an official document bearing markings, in which: a transparent security layer (17) is selected, the layer including at least one semi-transparent printed image including at least one transparent binder and at least one thermochromic pigment (14, 13, 12, 11); the semi-transparent printed image reveals at least one semi-transparent visible pattern in a first non-activated state at least a first temperature, such that the markings can be seen through the image, the pattern not being visible in a second activated state at least a second temperature different from the first temperature. A device for the secure protection of a portion of the surface of an official document and such an official document are also described.

摘要： A system and method are provided for constructing an optical device having a substrate and a filter layer provided on the substrate. The filter layer includes features that render a first image and gaps between the features. An image layer is provided on the filter layer and includes image elements provided within the gaps between the features. The first image is rendered in reflected light and the second image is rendered in transmitted light. According to one example, a second filter layer may be provided on a second side of the substrate such that features of the filter layer and second features of the second filter layer may be at least partially out of vertical alignment in order to define a plurality of light ray entry angles.

摘要： A method for deterring information copying, includes: combining a watermark serial number incorporate in a given medium with a content serial number to create a combined serial number, the watermark serial number uniquely identifies the given medium, and the content serial number uniquely identifies a content stored on the given medium; creating a digital signature by encoding the combined serial number using a private key of a public/private key pair; imprinting the content serial number and the digital signature on the given medium; decoding the digital signature imprinted on the given medium using a public key of the public/private key pair to obtain the combined serial number; comparing the decoded combined serial number with the watermark serial number and the content serial number imprinted of the given medium; and in response to determining that both match the combined serial number, determining that the content is authentic.

摘要： A handheld imaging device includes an image sensor for sensing an image: a Very Long Instruction Word (VLIW) processor for processing the sensed image; a plurality of processing units provided in the VLIW processor, the plurality of processing units connected in parallel by a crossbar switch to form a multi-core processing unit for the VLIW processor; and an image sensor interface for receiving signals from the image sensor and converting the signals to a format readable by the VLIW processor, the image sensor interface sharing a wafer substrate with the VLIW processor. A transfer of data from the image sensor interface to the VLIW processor is conducted entirely on the shared wafer substrate.

In order to ensure that detachment of the information part and the connecting part from one another leaves visible marks, the fastening end (3) of the connecting part (2) is arranged to overlap with a lower surface of the information part (3). Furthermore, the information page (1) includes a transparent surface layer (7) which covers at least the fastening end (8) and at least a part of the lower surface of the information part (3) and through which at least the fastening end (8) is visible.
