摘要： In accordance with a preferred embodiment, a charging station for charging of a UAV within a vicinity of powerlines includes an interface for electric coupling with the UAV for charging of a rechargeable battery of the UAV; a power supply having first and second electrodes separated and electrically insulated from each other for enabling a differential in voltage at the first and second electrodes resulting from a differential in electric field strength experienced at the first and second electrodes when within the vicinity of the powerlines; and electrical components electrically connected with the first and second electrodes and configured to establish a circuit with the rechargeable battery of the UAV when electronically coupled with the interface. The differential in voltage between the first and second electrodes causes electric current to flow through the electric circuit for charging the battery of the UAV.

摘要： A superconducting cable comprises a superconductor 60, two or more coolant passages including an outgoing coolant passage 12 and a returning coolant passage 14 that transfer a coolant that cools the superconductor, and a heat insulating pipe 10 inside which the superconductor 60 and the coolant passages are formed. For the coolant passages, by a double structured tube of an inner tube 6 and an outer tube 8, the outgoing coolant passage 12 is formed in the internal space of the inner tube 6 and the returning coolant passage 14 is formed in the space between the inner tube 6 and the outer tube 8, the inner tube 6 is formed between the outgoing coolant passage 12 and the returning coolant passage 14 of a heat insulating material, the superconductor 60 is disposed on the outer circumferential side of the inner tube 6, and the superconductor is cooled by the coolant that flows through the returning coolant passage.

摘要： A method of controlling a neutral section operation of a train (14) including a lead locomotive (16) and at least one remote locomotive (12) in communication with the lead locomotive. The locomotives are electrically powered from respective electrical connections to a catenary (22) having at least one neutral section (26). The method includes sensing when a lead locomotive is proximate the neutral section of the catenary. The lead locomotive then commands the remote locomotive to perform a neutral section operation when the lead locomotive has traveled a distance equal to a distance (20) between the lead locomotive and the remote locomotive. The lead locomotive determines when to issue a neutral section command based on a speed of the lead locomotive and an elapsed time from when the lead locomotive senses its location proximate the neutral section.

摘要： The magnetic circuit of a generator in a hydro-generator plant is arranged to directly supply a high supply voltage of 20-800 kV, preferably higher than 36 kV. The generator is provided with solid insulation and its winding includes a cable (6) comprising one or more current-carrying conductors (31) with a number of strands (36) surrounded by at least one outer and one inner semiconducting layer (34, 32) and intermediate insulating layers (33). The outer semiconducting layer (34) is at earth potential. The stator winding may be produced with full or fractional slot winding, the phases of the winding being Y-connected. The Y-point may be insulated and protected from over-voltage by means of surge arresters, or else the Y-point may be earthed via a suppression filter. The invention also relates to a hydro-generator plant, a generator included in the plant and a procedure for building such a plant.
