A parcel delayering system for automatic processing of a plurality of parcels includes a multi-stage arrangement of sequential cascading conveyors configured for de-layering the plurality of parcels. One or more of the conveyors has a high-friction belt which is inclined in a direction of travel and arranged such that a first conveyor section discharges from above onto a second conveyor section. The parcel delayering system includes a system or processor configured to progressively increase a duty cycle from stage to stage of the multi-stage arrangement of sequential cascading conveyors by adding pulsation in a velocity of the conveyors.

摘要： A system and a method for destacking and conveying articles disposed in stacks include a conveying device which is constructed for transporting the articles in a conveying direction. The conveying device is inclined relative to the horizontal at an angle of inclination and has a drive device and adhesion elements. The adhesion elements exert an adhesion force on articles with which they are in contact. The system also includes a controller which is connected to the drive device of the conveying device. In order to provide for more effective destacking for the system and the method, the adhesion elements are connected to the controller and constructed to be activated by the controller.

Tapered feed rolls may be used to change the rate and direction of workpiece travel along a processing line while retaining the workpieces in sequential order. 摘要： A conveyor system for conveying relatively planar articles, e.g. biscuits, comprises a first conveyor comprising a pair of runs of endless belts having operative surfaces defining a first path for biscuits. The operative surfaces of the belts face one another and are symmetrically inclined to the vertical, biscuits being conveyed thereby contacting the belts by their peripheries, and, when at least two biscuits are in contact, assuming an inclined attitude with the upper part of each biscuit leading. A further conveyor providing a further path for biscuits extends upwardly from the outlet end of the first path and, in the region of the outlet end of the first path, means are provided for causing or permitting a change in attitude of the biscuits to bring them to an attitude in which they are substantially parallel to the further path. The attitude changing means may comprise a member extending into a lower part of the first path to be contacted by biscuits as they approach the outlet end of the first path and/or an end portion of the first conveyor in which portion the angle between the belt runs is increased, and the attitude changing means cause or permit a reduction in the angle of inclination of the biscuits.

摘要： An apparatus for laying sod comprising a wheeled frame which is propelled and steered by means of an engine which drives hydraulic motors connected to the drive wheels thereof. A sod platform is pivotally mounted adjacent its forward end to the wheeled frame and may be raised from a substantially horizontal position to a substantially vertical position by means of a hydraulic cylinder connected thereto. A fork-like support is provided at the forward end of the platform and is adapted to be inserted into a sod pallet when the platform is in the vertical position. As the platform is moved to the horizontal position, the sod members are positioned on the platform at the forward end thereof. A first conveyor is movably mounted on the platform to convey the sod members towards the rearward end of the platform. An upstanding support is secured to the conveyor for movement therewith for maintaining the sod members in a substantial upstanding position on the conveyor. A guide is provided at the rearward end of the frame for guiding the sod members leaving the rearward end of the first conveyor onto the ground. A second conveyor is provided at the rearward end of the first conveyor for moving the sod members from the rearward end of the first conveyor onto the guide. The method of this invention comprises the steps of:(1) Positioning the sod members on a substantially horizontally disposed conveyor in an upstanding and superposed relationship;(2) Moving the device in a predetermined direction over the ground to be sodded while simultaneously operating the conveyor so that the sod members pass from the rearward end thereof; and(3) Guiding the sod members into proper position onto the ground.
