摘要： A Polymer used as an anti-infective means, having an acid number greater than 100. The Polymer has a valent metal ion which is bonded to at least one reactive group. The characteristics of the Polymer include, conductivities of 4 S/cm to 200 S/cm or more, depending upon the concentration and nature of the metal bound. The conductivity proportional to the amount of metal bound, the ability of the Polymer to bind metals having a +1, +2, +3, +4, or +5 valence charge to the Polymer, and the ability to bind two or more different metals to separate binding sites on the Polymer.

摘要： A process for preparing a composition by free-radical polymerization of a monomer composition comprising: a) at least one ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid containing monomer or anhydride thereof; b) optionally at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer different from a) but copolymerizable therewith; and c) at least one crosslinking monomer containing at least two ethylenically unsaturated groups. The monomer composition is polymerized in an organic medium having a solubilizing effect on one or more of the monomeric ingredients, but substantially none on the resulting polymer. The polymerization is conducted in the presence of a free radical forming catalyst and at least one steric stabilizing polymer polymerized from a vinyl lactam and a copolymerizable monomer selected from a short chain alkyl ester of (meth)acrylic acid, a long chain alkyl ester of (meth)acrylic acid, and combinations thereof.

A water-absorbent resin obtained by performing reversed phase suspension polymerization of a water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer in a hydrocarbon dispersion medium, using a radical polymerization initiator, said resin being capable of having both excellent absorption performance and shape retention in a water-absorbent material using the water-absorbent resin, as a result of fulfilling the conditions of: (1) having a water-retention capacity of physiological saline of at least 38 g/g; (2) having a water-absorption capacity of physiological saline under a load of 4.14 kPa of at least 15 ml/g; and (3) having a tan δ of a 50-fold swollen gel of at least 2.10×10−2.
