    • A product, system and method for reinforcing structural members is provided. The invention includes an elongated beam having a plurality of walls, each of the plurality of walls forming an internal cavity including an interior surface and an exterior surface; a reinforcing material preferably a flowable, strong, conglomerate construction material that hardens and gains strength when cured, such as a cementious building material (e.g., cementious grout or foam), disposed within the internal cavity, whereby the cured reinforcing material and walls form a strong, composite structural member. The invention further comprises a layer of sealant and/or protectant applied on the interior surface of the walls of the beam to prevent interaction between the reinforcing material and the walls (e.g. aluminum or metal or alloy). The invention further comprises one or more reinforcing rods (e.g. rebar) extending from a slab into the internal cavity.

    • A walking dragline excavator construction wherein both of the frames have rail beams and wherein at least one of the rail beams comprises a continuous series of vertical tubular rail girders disposed in mutually load sharing relation and cooperating in load sharing relation with the reinforcing grid of the associated frame structure. Certain of the web plates in the reinforcing grid are oriented in a triangular pattern with apices of the triangles anchored within the rail beam. Bottom plate stiffeners are attached to the bottom plate of the base frame and also attached to certain of the web plates in the reinforcing grid within the base frame for transmitting soil pressure directly to the grid plates. The rail structures of the frames include a rail pad secured to an edge of the associated rail beam, and reentrant corner torsional shear transfer truss members are fixedly secured to the rail pad and to the rail beam and to the associated horizontal plate of the frame for transferring torsional shear directly from the plate and the rail pad into the rail beam. Horizontal stiffeners are rigidly secured to and between the rail beam of at least the base frame and certain of the reinforcing grid web plates within the frame.

    • A column/beam connection in a building frame, including an elongate column having faces which join through corners, an elongate beam having an end, and a full-moment nodal connection connecting the end of the beam to the column solely through a pair of next-adjacent corners in the column, with the beam end, as so connected, being spaced from the column face which lies between the mentioned pair of corners. The connection per se features (a) plural standoffs joined to and extending, one each, outwardly from the column's corners at a selected, common elevation located along the length of the column, and (b) a halo collar joined through a gravity-seat-and-lock, full-moment interface connection to each of the standoffs, and, as so joined, spaced by the standoffs from the column faces which lie between the column corners.

    • A precast, prestressed concrete truss which spans between exterior columns and forms an interior or exterior load bearing wall of a building. The truss includes top and bottom chords interconnected by at least one web member. Prestressed reinforcing members in the top and bottom chords apply a compressive stress in the chords. The top and bottom chords are configured to support concrete planks that form a floor and/or a ceiling of a building in which the truss is used. When used as an interior load bearing wall, the truss can include at least one opening that forms, for example, a corridor passage large enough for a person to walk through the opening. When used as an exterior load bearing wall, the truss can include at least one window opening.
