摘要： A fuel injection valve includes: a movable arrangement that is coupled to a movable core and a needle while a movable flow passage, which forms a part of a flow passage of the fuel injection valve, is formed at an inside of the movable arrangement; and a valve main body that receives the movable arrangement. The movable arrangement has: a first flow-restricting portion that reduces a cross-sectional area of a portion of the movable flow passage; and a second flow-restricting portion that is spaced away from the first flow-restricting portion and reduces a cross-sectional area of another portion of the movable flow passage to a cross-sectional area that is equal to or larger than a cross-sectional area of the first flow-restricting portion. A distance between the first flow-restricting portion and the second flow-restricting portion is larger than an equivalent diameter of the cross-sectional area of the second flow-restricting portion.

It may comprise a valve with a movable needle, two springs pushing the needle toward the closed position, and an actuator for opening the valve. The needle may be in a fuel reservoir of a valve body. The actuator may supply pressurized fuel to the fuel reservoir so that the fuel pressure forces the needle away from the closed position against the spring force of the first spring or the first and second springs, respectively. There may be play between the second spring and the needle when the needle is in the closed position.

The ECU is configured: to control the opening/closing of the electromagnetic valve to adjust the fuel amount discharged toward the injector; to execute an operation sound suppression control during a low-load operation of an engine by reducing an opening/closing frequency of the electromagnetic valve and increasing the fuel amount discharged for each opening/closing of the electromagnetic valve; not to execute the operation sound suppression control when a partial lift injection is in progress; and to execute the operation sound suppression control when the partial lift injection is not in progress.

The plunger is movable by an actuator to thereby move the pieces of the end stop assembly from a first position in which the pieces of the end stop assembly form a first surface for contacting the valve member to a second position in which the pieces form a second surface that comes into contact with the valve member when the valve member is lifted from its seated position, to thereby allow different discrete lifts of the valve member.

A seating member provided with an internal bore which defines the valve seating region, wherein the internal bore further defines a flow re-directing region downstream of the valve seating region. The seating member has an end face provided with a feature which intersects with at least a portion of the flow re-directing region to define, together with the flow re-directing region, a spray path for reagent exiting the injection device when the valve member is moved outwardly from the bore away from the valve seating region. The spray path has a variable spray angle, relative to the axis, around the circumference of the valve seating region.
