摘要： This application is directed to an apparatus for providing electrical charge to a vehicle. The apparatus comprises a driven mass, a generator, a charger, a hardware controller, and a communication circuit. The driven mass rotates in response to a kinetic energy of the vehicle and is coupled to a shaft such that rotation of the driven mass causes the shaft to rotate. The driven mass exists in one of (1) an extended position and (2) a retracted position. The generator generates an electrical output based on a mechanical input coupled to the shaft such that rotation of the shaft causes the mechanical input to rotate. The charger is electrically coupled to the generator and: receives the electrical output, generates a charge output based on the electrical output, and conveys the charge output to the vehicle. The controller controls whether the driven mass is in the extended position or the retracted position in response to a signal received from the communication circuit.

The bearing housing assembly includes an annular adapter and an end cap that can be mated together. The annular adapter can have a tapered inner annular surface and can be inserted into the housing bore of the bearing housing. The end cap can have a corresponding outer tapered surface. When the end cap is inserted into the adapter hole defined by the annular adapter, the sliding contact between the tapered inner annular surface and the outer surface radially expands the annular adapter inside the housing bore creating a positive engagement retaining the bearing cover assembly to the bearing housing.

摘要： A bearing closure device has a externally threaded ring that can be slid onto a roll journal. One stop close to the roll barrel and one stop away from the roll barrel are provided on the roll journal in order to limit the axial movement of the threaded ring. A ring nut with an internal thread is screwed onto the external thread of the threaded ring. To facilitate safe screwing on and unscrewing of the ring nut and to keep screws pressure-free during the operation of the bearing a pressure ring is mounted between the bearing and the threaded ring in an axially displaceable manner. In addition, a plurality of screws can be screwed into axial threaded bores in the threaded ring in order to press against the pressure ring in the axial direction. Finally, the ring nut can be screwed or adjusted against the pressure ring.
