    • Valve arrangement for guiding a liquid against a gas pressure gradient. The valve arrangement includes first, second and third pressure areas connected in series. An intake opens into the first pressure area. An outlet opens into the third pressure area. Flow check valves selectively open or close passage openings between the first and second pressure areas and between the second and third pressure areas. Whereby the flow check valves, free from outside influences, are opened when in a resting position and are automatically held in a closed position by gas counterpressure. Whereby the first and third pressure areas are respectively connected to the second pressure area via a ventilation line. Whereby a ventilation valve coupled to at least one of the ventilation lines, the ventilation valve selectively opening or closing the at least one of the ventilation lines.     • A drain valve has an inlet (36) for liquids and small solids, an accumulation chamber (37) and an outlet (17). The outlet has a seal (13) which is connected to an air-activated piston (12). The piston is in turn connected to a positive air pressure inlet (18) via an air communication path (19) and a closure (22). The closure (22) is opened by a closure activation means (29), causing positive air pressure to flow to the piston (12), which briefly causes the outlet seal (13) to be opened, allowing liquids and small solids from the accumulation chamber to be expelled. Upon de-activation by the closure activation means (29), the closure (22) recloses, blocking the supply of positive air pressure to the piston (12).

    • An automatic drain valve system for collecting and draining a liquid and/or contaminants within a reservoir (45A) including a level sensing float (68A). The liquid or contaminants are introduced into the reservoir through an inlet (48A) and exit the reservoir (45A) through an outlet (206). A control valve which is responsive to the liquid level contained within the reservoir (45A) includes coupled magnetic members which selectively open and close the control valve in response to the liquid within the reservoir (45A) reaching preselected levels. This control valve activates the drain valve (34A) for opening and closing the drain outlet such that the system is automatically drained upon when the liquid within the reservoir reaches a preselected level.

    • A condensate valve comprising a housing having a chamber for the accumulation of liquid and an outlet passage from the chamber leading to a central chamber from which liquid is discharged to the atmosphere. A double-acting valve member controls the outlet passage. A diaphragm closes the central chamber and separates it from a pressure chamber. A manually operable device is provided for holding the valve member in a shut-off position or in a position to drain the condensate valve. A separate annular heater assembly is disposed upon the housing in encircling relation to the liquid accumulation chamber to prevent freezing.
