    • A daylight enlarger of the enclosed image framing area type is disclosed and comprises a lamp housing with lamp, lens means and holder for a negative, transparency or the like to be enlarged, and a tunnel body. In order to render the enlarger compact for storage purposes, the lamp housing can be stored in the tunnel body, one end of which can be closed by a viewing screen capable of being removably attached to the end of the tunnel body. A developing easel of the dark slide closable type is also provided to receive material on which an enlargement is to be printed. The easel may be removably attached to the said end of the tunnel body for development purposes after the image has been viewed on the screen and is preferably such that it may also be removably attached to the other end of the tunnel for storage purposes.

    • In the disclosed finder, a half transparent surface positioned behind a photographic lens splits off part of the light passing through the photographic lens to a first image plane at a position equivalent to a focal plane of the photographic lens. At least two lens components refocus light from the first image plane onto a second image plane conjugate to the first one. An image on the second plane is observed through an eyepiece. An even number of reflective surfaces, but not less than four, including the half transparent surface, are arranged in an optical path from the photographic lens to the eyepiece and at least one of these reflective surfaces lies between the two lens components. A decrease in the physical length of the finder and an increase in the image magnification are achieved.

    • A Kepler telescope type optical finder system for an SLR camera comprises a simple and compact prism having a generally wedge shape as contrasted with finder optical systems using surface mirrors or pentaprisms. The prism may be shaped so that the angle formed by the incident optical axis thereto and the emitting optical axis therefrom is smaller than 90.degree. in order to further miniaturize the overall size of the camera. In this case, an additional wedge-shaped prism is inserted between the first focal plane of the optical system and the prism in order to reduce the chromatic aberration. The additional wedge-shaped prism may be provided with a surface formed into the surface of the condenser lens.
