    • A brake pedal apparatus includes: an operating pedal to be depressed so as to be pivoted about a first axis; a pivot member pivotable about a second axis parallel to the first axis, and connected to the operating pedal via a connecting link so as to be pivoted about the second axis in response to a depression of the operating pedal; and an output member to receive an output generated upon pivot motion of the pivot member. The connecting link is connected, at respective connected positions, to the operating pedal and the pivot member. A relationship between a ratio of the output to a depression force acting on the operating pedal, and an amount of the depression of the operating pedal is changed depending upon the connected positions of the connecting link. The brake pedal apparatus further includes a ratio characteristic changing device operable, when the depression force exceeds a predetermined value, to shift at least one of the connected positions of the connecting link, for changing the relationship between the ratio and the amount of the depression of the operating pedal.

    • The system controls the propulsion of a motor vehicle with a propulsion system (1) which includes an internal combustion engine (E) with a shaft (S) for coupling to a transmission (2). The system includes an accelerator (A) with an associated sensor devices (S1) for supplying electrical signals indicating the force (FP) applied on the accelerator (A) by the driver, and an actuator device (6) operable to alter the position of the accelerator (A).; sensor devices (S2) supplying electrical signals indicating the speed of rotation (n) of the shaft (S) and/or the vehicle speed (V); and an electronic control unit (SCU) operable to control the propulsion system (1) in dependence on the signals supplied by the sensor devices (S1) and (S2). The control unit (SCU) acquires the signals generated by the sensor (S1) and establish an instantaneous value for the traction force (FX) to be developed on the ground by the drive wheels (W) corresponding to the instantaneous value of the force (FP) applied to the accelerator (A); and control the actuator device (6) in such a way that this latter tends to place the accelerator (A) in a position which corresponds to the instantaneous value of the vehicle speed (V).

    • A drying system configured to dry the pedals of a vehicle as well as the footwear of the driver of the vehicle. The dry system includes an air trap for catching and diverting air from the ventilation system of the vehicle. A multi tube adapter is connected between the air trap and multiple tubes. The tubes are configured direct the air flow from the multi tube adapter to each of the pedals. The tubes are connected to the rear portion of the pedals and direct air flow into a chamber of each of the pedals. Each of the pedals includes multiple holes on the surface and bottom. The holes permit the air flow to exit the chamber of the pedal, thereby drying the pedals and further permit the air flow to blow onto the footwear of the driver, drying footwear of the driver. The holes on the bottom portion of each of the pedals permit air and liquid to exit the chamber of each of the pedals, thereby preventing liquid buildup within each of the chambers of the pedals.
