    • A disk drive includes an insertion detection unit disposed at a position deviating from a transport center line in a first direction, a transport roller, and an opposing member that holds a disk together with the transport roller. The opposing member has a second guiding recess located in a second direction relative to the transport center line. The recess of the opposing member and the transport roller define a space therebetween to receive the disk inserted from a position deviating from the transport center line in the second direction.

    • According to one embodiment, an information processing apparatus includes a main body, an optical disc drive provided in the main body, and a drive management module provided in the main body. The optical disc drive is configured to output an eject signal to an outside in response to an operation of an eject button. The drive management module is configured to supply power to the optical disc drive when the eject signal is received from the optical disc drive which is in a power-off state, to determine, after supplying the power to the optical disc drive, whether the optical disc drive is in a ready state or not, and to send to a signal instructing opening of a tray of the optical disc drive when it is determined that the optical disc drive is in the ready state.

    • A restriction plate (21) is provided on a lower surface of a near side of an upper plate of a chassis base (101). Both disk (D1) and disk (D2), while keeping in contact with a contact guide portion P1 of the restriction plate (21), are inserted. A stopper portion (P2) is formed at a farther side position than the contact guide portion (P1). A peripheral surface of a transfer roller (5) is placed in a moving direction of the disks (D1), (D2) proceeding while contacting upper surfaces of disk guides (2R), (2L) of a disk loading slit (20), and the contact guide portion (P1). Further, the stopper portion (P2) exists at a position corresponding to a direction of a tangent line which passes through the contact guide portion (P1), out of the tangent lines of the aforementioned peripheral surface, at positions other than the moving direction of the disks (D1), (D2).
