摘要： A contact arrangement for a Pre-Insertion Resistor (PIR) wherein a control rod is arranged to move a movable contact, against the force of a biasing member, into temporary connection with a PIR. The control rod comprises a tulip with a plurality of resilient fingers and having a first diameter where it is able to mechanically couple to a latching ring on the movable contact, and a second diameter where the tulip is deformed with the fingers deflected inwards, once the resistance to movement exceeds a predetermined value, wherein the latching ring is able to pass over the tulip to decouple the movable contact from the control rod. The contact arrangement is particularly suited for a PIR arranged for connection in parallel to the interrupter of a gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) circuit breaker.

The method involves detecting whether the motor completes the closure and/or whether the resetting torque corresponds to a normal resetting torque, by analyzing the envelope curve of current consumed by the motor over time, in order to carry out the resetting following the closure manoeuvre of the control mechanism, and, if the motor completes the closure, deducing that the wear is the result of wear in the mechanism, the kinematic chain or even in the motor, and/or if the resetting torque corresponds to an abnormal resetting torque, deducing that the wear corresponds to wear in the motor or even in the parts involved in compressing the closure spring.

The transfer assembly cooperates with the drive assembly and the separable contacts and includes a sliding transfer component. The transmission assembly moves between a LOADED OPEN position, an UNLOADED CLOSED position, a LOADED CLOSED position, and an UNLOADED OPEN position. When the transmission assembly moves from the LOADED OPEN position to the UNLOADED CLOSED position, the linear driving member drives the sliding transfer component in a generally linear direction, thereby closing the separable contacts.

摘要： A single-phase ground enclosed load break switch for distribution voltages has a hermetically sealed cylindrical metal housing of from 2 to 6 inches diameter which contains an insulating gas under pressure. The switch has a movable contact assembly to contact a pair of opposed stationary coaxial conductors within the housing. A rocking bellows at the fulcrum of a crank actuator provides a compact hermetic seal for the actuator without excessive strain of the bellows. A safety interlock with a visual indicator locks the contact assembly in case of a loss of pressure. Excessive pressure in the switch causes the bellows to be punctured with consequent locking of the contact assembly. The switch is small enough to be mounted directly on a transformer or placed into a cable, without the need for a separate enclosure.
