摘要： A grounding clamp (10, 210) is provided for use with an overhead electrical conductor (12) and is operated by a user via a shotgun stick or other elongate stick or pole. The grounding damp (10) includes a pair of damp jaws (16, 18; 216,218) that, in one embodiment (10), are biased towards a closed position by at least one spring (20,22) and that are driven between open and closed positions via a cam mechanism (24) in response to the user applying a torque force to the clamp (10) with the shotgun stick or other elongate stick or pole. In another embodiment, a ground clamp (210) includes a tightening mechanism (220) configured to tighten a pair of jaws (216,218), and a ratchet mechanism (222) configured to allow the tightening mechanism (220) to be translated relative to the jaw (216) to any of a plurality of predetermined, linearly spaced, fixed positions to adjust the spacing between the jaws (216,218).

摘要： A grounding clamp includes a safety lock-out which locks the operation of the clamp in the absence of a hot-stick. A clamping member cooperates with a frame having an arm, and is selectively biasable by a user to translate the clamping member relative to the frame to clamp a conductor between the clamping member and arm. The lock-out cooperates with the clamping member to prevent the translation of the clamping member unless in the presence of an insulating tool such as a hot-stick.

The clamp further includes a clamp member at least partially disposed within the cavity of the first housing portion, the clamp member including a first clamp surface adjacent the second surface of the housing in a facing relationship. The clamp further includes a shaft oriented parallel to the longitudinal axis, the shaft coupling the first housing portion and the clamp member. The clamp further includes a second housing portion movably coupled to the first housing portion by the shaft, the second housing portion including a second housing bore and a second clamp surface, the second housing bore aligned with the longitudinal axis, the second clamp surface adjacent the first surface of the first housing portion in a facing relationship.

The first connector end includes a first axial bore configured to receive a bushing element therein. The grounding element end includes a second axial bore formed therein for receiving a conductive grounding element therein. The grounding element, when inserted into the second axial bore includes an exposed portion projecting above a surface of the grounding element end. The exposed portion of the grounding element is configured for attachment by a grounded hot line clamp to ground the electrical connector assembly.

摘要： A three phase motor reversing assembly includes two contactors interconnected with solid flat bus bars. The terminal assembly employed on the contactors includes a stationary terminal and a captive threaded fastener slidably retained within a pocket formed from the insulating material of the contactor base. The sliding captive threaded fastener allows the bus bars used for interconnection to be mounted on the underside of the stationary terminal. External connections are made to a cable clamping device mounted on top of the stationary terminal. A bolt is inserted through all of the connections to be made and threaded into the captive threaded fastener. As the bolt is tightened, the captive threaded fastener provides a counter-torque and is drawn up until tight contact is established.

摘要： A C-type electrical grounding clamp is provided for high voltage distribution lines wherein structure on the main body of the clamp presents at least a pair of separate, cooperable ground cable receiving elements oriented with the longitudinal axes of the cable passages in perpendicular relationship relative to one another. The user may thereby employ a plurality of the clamps all of identical construction for either phase-over-phase or phase-by-phase grounding in a manner wherein in each instance the grounding cables between adjacent conductors are all essentially parallel and of minimum length to span the distance therebetween for maximum resistance to fault current induced grounding cable whipping, and minimum imposition of non-fault stresses thereon. The clamps are especially adapted for supporting dual grounding cables between each pair of proximal conductors.
