摘要： This disclosure provides connectors for smart windows. A smart window may incorporate an optically switchable pane. In one aspect, a window unit includes an insulated glass unit including an optically switchable pane. A wire assembly may be attached to the edge of the insulated glass unit and may include wires in electrical communication with electrodes of the optically switchable pane. A floating connector may be attached to a distal end of the wire assembly. The floating connector may include a flange and a nose, with two holes in the flange for affixing the floating connector to a first frame. The nose may include a terminal face that present two exposed contacts of opposite polarity.

摘要： A wire connection system for providing electrical communication between a first conductor and a second conductor includes a housing having a sidewall, a housing surface, and a housing channel. The sidewall extends between a first end and a second end and at least partially encloses a housing chamber. The connection system further includes at least one jaw supported for movement within the housing chamber and configured to engage the first conductor. The connection system further includes a clamp member at least partially disposed within the housing channel, the clamp member including a clamp surface proximate the housing surface in a facing relationship. The connection system further includes a linear actuator coupled to the housing and movable along a longitudinal axis, the linear actuator coupling the housing and the clamp member and movably coupled to the at least one jaw.

摘要： An electrical connection system (10) for connecting at least two electrical wires (W) together in a secure housing. A non-electrically conductive base (12) has a plurality of ports (16) corresponding to at least the number of wires being connected together with an end of each wire being inserted through a respective port. Exposed ends of the wires are then twisted together. A non-electrically conductive cap (14) is sized and shaped to align with and fit over a top of the base with the twisted together exposed ends of the wires fitting within the cap. The base and cap together form a shell in which the twisted together wires are securely enclosed.

The spiral coils around the wire multiple times and tightens on the wire(s) when either one or the other end, or both ends, of the spiral is/are rotated relative to the other. Various housing portions may be provided for connection to different portions of the spiral, to facilitate the tightening of the spiral and to cooperate with a latch/lock system to retain the spiral in tightened condition. Multiple spirals may be provided in one connector, including spirals that tighten around separate wires at opposite ends/side of the connector and/or in spiral ports extending transversely from a main spiral(s). Terminal ends or additional spiral units/ports may be connected to a given spiral, either permanently, semi-permanently, or detachably, for producing a wide variety of configurations and modular connection devices.

The electrical wire connector includes a body further comprising a cavity with a port configured to receive the at least two electrical wires twisted to form an electrical wire connection. Teeth are on a bottom surface of the electrical wire connection; wherein the teeth obstruct movement of the sheaths. A bolt, is detachably coupled to the body. Silicone fills the cavity with the at least two electrical wires. Tightening the bolt onto the sheaths into the teeth displaces some of the silicone from the cavity and creates a watertight compartment for the at least two electrical wires.
