    • A toaster oven comprising a housing defining a food cavity, an opening defined in the housing, a door movably affixed to the housing, a cooking grid selectively mountable within the housing, one or more heating elements within the housing, a timer controlling activation of the heating elements, and a timer control knob engaged with the timer. The timer control knob is selectively rotatable in a second direction from the off position to a third position to activate at least one of the one or more heating elements until the timer control knob is selectively rotated in the first direction back to the off position. The timer control knob has a selectively movable button, such that the timer control knob is only selectively rotatable in the second direction from the off position to the third position when the button is moved from a first position to a second position.

    • An accelerator and brake pedal device includes a connecting lever, a brake pedal assembly, an accelerator pedal assembly, an accelerator control circuit, and a resisting member. The brake pedal assembly is coupled to the connecting lever. The accelerator pedal assembly is rotatably coupled to the brake pedal assembly. The accelerator control circuit has an accelerator control switch. The resisting member is positioned on the connecting lever away from the brake pedal assembly. The accelerator control switch is resisted to turn off by the resisting member and break the accelerator control circuit. The resisting member is moved by the accelerator pedal assembly toward the accelerator control switch. The accelerator control circuit is rendered inoperative when the resisting member is moved by the accelerator pedal assembly toward the accelerator control switch. The accelerator control circuit is rendered operative when the accelerator pedal assembly is released.

    • An input unit for an operating element that can be actuated by pressure or rotation includes a housing having a recess portion, a carrier having a detent projection, and an input member (e.g., an actuator). The carrier is displacable relative to the housing. The input member is rotatably mounted on the carrier to be rotatable. The input member has a body with a cavity therein and a detent curve body movably arranged in the cavity such that the detent curve body is displaceable relative to the body of the input member. A first end of the detent curve body has a detent curve engaging the detent projection of the carrier. A second end of the detent curve body is adjacent to the housing part and has projections. The input member further has a spring that acts on the detent curve body to press the detent curve against the detent projection.
