摘要： One embodiment of the carrier has a central vertical support panel structure with two foldable receptacles extending outwardly from the vertical support panel structure. The outside wall of each receptacle is extended upwardly and bent over to cover the receptacle, and the top portions of those walls are joined together to form a carrying handle structure, either with or without the upper portion of the vertical support panel structure. The potions of the outside walls forming the covers can have openings to receive the necks of bottles such as wine and beer bottles to give added lateral support for the bottles. A simplified embodiment uses only one of the foldable receptacles and has two lateral side walls which extend upwardly and join together to form a handle structure. In another embodiment, the vertical support panels are hinged together at their side-edges so that they can be folded together for forming a handle structure to carry the carrier and its contents, and swung apart to expose advertising copy, promotional items and/or books. The motion used is like that used in opening a book, and is very comfortable for the user.

摘要： The present invention relates to a basket carrier (10) that provides full protection for the bottles being carried, and which can be glued on a straight-line gluer. The provision of nicks (66,68,85), (i.e., temporary bridges) between the handle panels (48,50) and the side walls serves to keep the handle panels (48,50) in proper alignment during the folding and gluing operation on the gluer. These nicks (66,68,85) are easily broken when the carrier is opened to receive bottles in the bottling plant. The present invention also utilizes nicks (66,68,85) between the partition panel (82,84) and the handle ply (48,50) to hold them in contact but yet prevent bunching of paperboard during the folding and gluing process.

摘要： A bottom lock arrangement is provided for basket carriers having opposed end panels (13, 14, 15, 16), opposed side walls (11, 12) and a floor structure. The basket carriers have a center wall (17) disposed between and parallel the side walls. The bottom lock arrangement comprises at least one connector tab (23) extending from the center wall, and the floor structure further comprises opposed first and second floor panels (21, 22) which are foldably connected to the side walls. The floor panels are sized to overlap one another and they further have aligned connector slots (27, 29) to receive the connector tab of the center wall. Center wall connector tab configurations and cooperating aligned connector and locking slot configurations in the first and second panels are provided to yield secure bottom locking arrangements. Methods for erecting and loading the basket carriers and further provided for the basket carrier structures having the bottom lock arrangements.
