摘要： The invention provides a container carrier, and a blank for forming said container carrier, comprising a base portion having a substantially planar bottom, opposing ends which depend upwardly and inwardly from the bottom to meet centrally above the bottom, a pair of support portions depending upwardly from opposing sides of the bottom of the base portion, and a pair of handle portions depending upwardly in a facing relationship from respective opposing ends of the base portion. Opposing sides of each handle portion each comprising at least one tab, wherein corresponding tabs of each handle portion are together engaged with a slot provided in the substantially orthogonal support portions. A plurality of apertures are provided in the base portion for receiving containers. Preferred embodiments of the container carrier can be rapidly assembled from a unitary blank printed on a single side, said side substantially forming the outer surface of the assembled carrier.

摘要： A foldable carrier for beverages and other objects has a pair of folding receptacles extending outwardly from a central vertical support panel structure. In a first embodiment, the vertical support panel structure is made of one material as a first component, and an external side wall structure of a second material, preferably of lower cost, and the two components are joined together. In another embodiment, horizontal slits are formed in the side walls across two or four corners of the carrier, and the resulting horizontal strips of material are bent inwardly to form dividers for separating objects from one another in the receptacles. In a third embodiment, the carrier is made from a blank with a structure for use with a variety of different right-angle gluers.

The potions of the outside walls forming the covers can have openings to receive the necks of bottles such as wine and beer bottles to give added lateral support for the bottles. A simplified embodiment uses only one of the foldable receptacles and has two lateral side walls which extend upwardly and join together to form a handle structure. In another embodiment, the vertical support panels are hinged together at their side-edges so that they can be folded together for forming a handle structure to carry the carrier and its contents, and swung apart to expose advertising copy, promotional items and/or books. The motion used is like that used in opening a book, and is very comfortable for the user.
