摘要： A fully enclosed carton for carrying heavy loads with a reinforcement insert for the handle apertures located in the top end flaps of the carton. The paperboard reinforcing insert may be extended as a bridge across the top panel of the carton to prevent tearing of the handle apertures in the top end flaps and also tearing in the top panel of the carton when carrying a heavy load. The carton may have one or more dispensers in the top panel which may extend into an adjoining side panel. Multiple tear lines may be formed for the dispenser flap in the insert that extends across the top panel to permit easy access to the containers, such as bottles, in the carton. The paperboard reinforcing insert may have a larger aperture than the handle aperture in each top end flap to adjust for any imprecision in the alignment of the paperboard insert in forming the carton sleeve from the paperboard blank. When the paperboard insert extends across the top panel and one or more dispensers are formed in the top panel, multiple tear lines may be used to form the flaps in the insert to compensate for any imprecision in the insertion of the insert that extends across the top panel into the carton sleeve when it is being formed.

摘要： A carton of the wrap-around type has a pair of overlapped base panels (12,20). One of the bases panels (12) which carries a locking tab (38) overlies a tongue (42) protruding from the end edge of the other base panel (20). The protruding tongue (42) is formed with a complementary locking aperture (40) engaged by the locking tab (38) to secure the overlapped panels (12, 20) together. On either side of the locking tab (38), the said one base panel (12) has a hinged tab (50, 52) protruding from the end edge of that panel. Each of the hinged tabs underlies the end edge (44,46) of the other base panel (20), one on each side of the protruding tongue (42). This `over and under' arrangement presents less of an externally overlapped edge than is the case of a simple complete overlap and thus mitigates against the base panels being skewed or prized apart leading to tearing and/or dislodgment of the locking means.

摘要： A carton and blank for forming a carton for beverage containers which carton includes a series of hinged panels forming a sleeve and end closure panels hinged to at least one associated hinged panel for closing, at least in part, the opposite ends of a sleeve. The said carton includes handle means by which the carton can be carried, said handle means comprising a strap connected to opposed end panels having a user part which is in substantially co-planar relationship with said one hinged panel when in a stored condition. The strap is so connected at its opposite ends to said end closure panels as to provide a surplus of material to enable said user part to be brought into a position of use. The invention further comprises a carton for holding a plurality of articles in a group, which carton comprising top, opposed side walls and a base, hingeably interconnected together to form a tubular structure wherein at least one said side walls comprises a displaceable zone arranged to protrude out of the plane of the side wall to accommodate a portion of an adjacent article. The displaceable zone comprises a multiplicity of connected sections each occupying a different plane to a next adjacent section.
