124 VALVE SEAT GRINDING AND CORRECTING DEVICE JP2979196 1996-01-09 JPH09192997A 1997-07-29 HANSON BOO RENAATO
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely install a valve seat grinding and correcting device to a valve seat, and to rapidly cope with valve seats having various seat diameters and surfaces. SOLUTION: A lower spindle 2c is fixed at its lower end to a valve guide G for a valve seat S, and an upper spindle 2b is connected at its upper end to a hollow swivel joint 3. A rotary part 20 is arranged so as to be rotated at a low speed above a seat surface F of the valve seat S, about the upper spindle 2b. A slider 27 is attached to a circular base panel 24 of the swivel part 20 so as to slide along an inclined angle of a seat surface F in association with the rotation of the rotary part 20. A grinder 50 is attached to the slider 27 through the intermediary of an arm 35 so as to be adjustable in three axial directions in order to constitute a valve seat grinding and correcting device 1. During the grinding and correcting the seat surface F, air and oil are fed to the rotary part 20 and the grinder 50 from the upper end of the upper spindle 20 by way of the swivel joint 3.

PURPOSE: To adapt a lapping disc in a lapping machine to a valve seat by holding the lapping machine swingable within an angle of five degrees to the horizontal line due to the action of a ball joint incorporated in the lapping machine assembly. CONSTITUTION: The movement or to-and-fro movement of a lapping disc 1, where its full surface is pressed on a tuyere seat 3 at the constant force that the pressure of a spring 8 gives to the tuyere seat 3, is made depending on the eccentricity of a shaft 4 to a main spindle 5. The spindle movement is driven by a crown gear 11 that is driven by a pinion 15 fixed to a pneumatic motor shaft 6.

PURPOSE: To carry out the positioning of centering, etc. of a grinding wheel accurately and easily by axially moving an operating rod having a conical part on the bottom end, spreading an outer cylinder having slits in the axial direction and fixedly attaching a centering rod to a valve guide. CONSTITUTION: The lower part of the outer cylinder part 8 of a centering rod 6 is formed into a conical face 8b having inner periphery which widens toward end, and three closed slits 8a are provided on the lower part. When the centering rod 6 is inserted in a guide 3, positioning is made by means of a stopper 9 in such a way that the conical part 7a of an operating rod 7 comes to the central part, in the axial direction, of the guide 3, the rod 7 is tightened upward in the elevating direction by rotating a hexagonal head part 7c, the conical inner peripheral surface 8b of the outer cylinder 8 is pressed by the conical part 7a, and the outer cylinder 8 is spread in the radial direction. As a result, the centering rod 7 is closely attached and fixed to the center part of the guide 3, in which wear is less, and securely centered. Due to the rotation of a ring member 10 fitted over the centering rod 6, a grinding wheel ring 11 rotates around the centering rod to carry out rapid grinding. COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio

135 SHEET GRINDER USING INNER CYLINDRICAL SPINDLE AS GUIDE CYLINDER JP1475479 1979-02-09 JPS55106767A 1980-08-15 KATAJIMA HISAKATSU
PURPOSE:To precisely grind valve rod and valve seat sheet sections with a single grinder by using an inner cylindrical spindle which is fixed at the center of the main body as the valve stem section and the guide cylinder of the guide rod. CONSTITUTION:When the valve rod sheet section is grinded, the valve rod stem section 2A is inserted into the spindle 1B through the sleeve 1E. By contacting the rotating whetstone 1D with a convex cross section with the valve rod sheet section 2, the sheet section is grinded precisely, concentrically with the valve rod stem section 2A. When the valve seat sheet section 4A is grinded, the lower rod 3C of the guide rod 3 is inserted into the valve guide section 4 and the upper rod 3B is inserted into the spindle 1B through the sleeve 1E. By contacting the rotating whetstone 1G with cross section with the valve seat sheet section 4A, the valve seat sheet section is grinded. In this case, the inner cylindrical spindle 1B is fit and slides up and down through the sleeve E centering the fixed guide rod 3. Also, since the outer cylinder 1C for the axis of whetstone rotation and the inner cylindrical spindle 1B are concentric, no deflection occurs.
