PURPOSE:To form the printing plate whereby thick-film printing can be performed precisely on a substance to be printed by using a laminate body composed of a set layer wherein a permeating part to serve as an image-forming part is formed and of an elastic body layer. CONSTITUTION:The laminate body 11 is formed by sticking the set layer 1 wherein the permeating part (printing part) 4 to serve as the image-forming part is formed in a relatively-hard member (ex. copper leaf) on the elastic body layer 2 formed of a material having lower hardness than the set layer 1 [ex. silicon rubber having JIS rubber hardness (Shore A) of about 60 deg. or less], and then the laminate thus formed is provided on a supporting body 3 (fixing board, cylinder and the like of a printer), whereby the printing plate is formed. By using this printing plate, ink 5 is filled in the permeating part 4 of the set layer 1 by using a squeeze 6, and then, the plate being pressed on the substance to be printed, the ink 5 is extruded under the pressure of the elestic body layer 2, and thereby printing is performed efficiently.

A method and apparatus for making color filters for liquid crystal display panels. A transfer layer is formed on a collector roll, and a raised pattern corresponding to the desired black matrix pattern is formed on the transfer layer by an embossing means. A plurality of colored ink patterns is formed in the appropriate location within the boundaries formed by the raised pattern, thereby forming the multicolor image that will become the color filter. This multicolored image is then transferred to the substrate. Preferably, the inks are deposited into the black matrix pattern using typographic imaging pins which are smaller than the cells of the black matrix pattern.

CONSTITUTION:A doctor blade 5 is set to an angle beta with respect to the direction Q crossing a blade advance direction P at a right angle so that the surface of the blade does not become right-angled to the advance direction P of the blade and slid on the surface of a planographic intaglio 1 from one end part thereof to the other and part thereof as shown by numerals 5, 5b, 5c to perform ink scraping-off operation and the ink on the planographic intaglio is transferred to an object to be printed to perform printing.
159 PRINTING PLATE, PRINTING METHOD, PRINTER AND FORMATION OF ANODE JP13258591 1991-06-04 JPH04357092A 1992-12-10 IWAMOTO HIROSHI; NISHIMURA YUTAKA; MATSUO KOJI; AIKAWA NOBORU
PURPOSE:To provide a printing technique to improve the ease of operation and also the quality of a printed matter by preventing an excess ink scraped off an intaglio plate using a doctor blade and sticking to the doctor blade from dripping to an area outside the operation of the doctor blade or an area other than the intaglio plate of a printer or over a printed matter. CONSTITUTION:An intaglio plate 3 is equipped with an intaglio plate 4 where a pattern is formed, a projecting part at the end and a recessed part 5. A doctor blade of an elastic material (not illustrated) moves from left to right along the recessed part 4, filling the recessed part 4 with ink. Even after the filling of ink in the recessed part 4, the doctor blade continues moving to the right, causing a sliding friction with the projecting 6. Thus an excess ink sticking the doctor blade is scraped off by the projecting part and the scraped ink is stored in the recessed part 5.
160 PRINTING METHOD AND PRINTING DEVICE JP1830490 1990-01-29 JPH03221484A 1991-09-30 INAMI TAKASHI
PURPOSE:To achieve high accuracy by curing only a portion of ink applied to a picture element section of an intaglio plate and in contact with the recesses of said plate, and applying thereafter printing to a base board. CONSTITUTION:A planar intaglio plate 8 is composed of resin which transmits light and comprises picture sections 1 and non-picture sections 2, whereby ink 5, which is cured by application of light, is applied to the sections 1 by means of a roller 9. When light is applied to the ink 5 by means of an ultraviolet lamp 10 from the side of the plate where picture sections are not formed, the ink in contact with the wall of the sections begins to be cured, whereupon volumetric contraction of ink occurs, so that forces act on the ink so as to separate it from the wall, while curing of the surface of the ink, not in contact with the plate, is still in process. When a glass board 6 is engaged with the plate 8 to perform printing by moving a pressure roller 11, the surface of the ink is attached to the board 6. When the plate 8 is separated from the board 6, the ink is easily separated from the plate 8, so that the configurations of the recesses of the picture sections are precisely formed on the board 6.
