    • Whether or not a lead wire has been normally cut and clinched can be reliably detected. A contact pipe is arranged in lead wire insertion holes of a pair of fixed pawls in a state of being electrically insulated from the fixed pawls. In a case where the lead wire is shorter than a set length after the lead wire is inserted into the lead wire insertion holes, a clearance of the pair of lead wire insertion holes is widened by a set amount in the event of outward bending of the lead wire and is narrowed by a set amount in the event of inward bending (S4). A cut-and-clinch operation is performed with S4 bypassed in a case where the length of the lead wire is at least the set length (S5) . In any case, if conduction between the fixed pawl and the contact pipe by the lead wire is detected in both of the fixed pawls in any of S2 to S5, the lead wire insertion is determined to have been normally performed (S6) and a transition to the next operation is made (S7). In the event of no conduction detection, an abnormality is determined and an electronic-circuit-component mounting machine is stopped (S8).

    • The invention pertains to a method for mounting a component (50) to an electric circuit board (10), comprising the steps:
      - providing at least one cavity (40) in the electric circuit board (10, 100);
      - arranging the component (50) in the cavity (40);
      - generating in the at least one cavity (40) mechanical and/or electrical connections simultaneously to at least two locations of the component (50).
      The invention also pertains to a method for making an electric circuit board arrangement (200) comprising at least one electric circuit board (300, 400, 500), comprising the steps:
      - providing at least one cavity (340, 440, 540) and/or through-hole (320, 420, 520) in the at least one electric circuit board (300, 400, 500);
      - arranging the component (50) in the at least one cavity (340, 440) and/or in a through-hole (320, 420) being mechanically and/or electrically connectable by contact in the at least one cavity (340, 440) and/or through-hole (320, 420) and
      - stacking one or more electric circuit boards (400, 500) on top of the at least one electric circuit board (300) and coupling the electric circuit boards (300, 400, 500) by solderable terminal pads (52, 54) of the component (50).
