    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear capable of sufficiently ensuring the length of a rotation-stop groove without elongating a dimension in a tooth width direction and enhancing bonding strength in the rotation direction of a metal core body and a synthetic resin tooth body, and to provide an electric power steering device provided with the gear. SOLUTION: The gear is provided with the metal core body 41 having a cylinder 41c and a disc 41d extending from one end of the cylinder 41c to an inner side, and the synthetic resin tooth body 42 bonded to the cylinder 41c of the metal core body 41 by integration molding. A flange 41f extending from the other end to the outside in a radial direction is provided on the cylinder 41c, a whirl-stop groove 41a is formed at an outer peripheral part of the cylinder 41c from one end to the flange 41f, and a whirl-stop groove 41b is formed at an inner peripheral part of the cylinder 41c from the other end to the disc 41d.
