    • A flow adjusting valve of the spool type having a flow inlet and a flow outlet incorporated in a die casting machine comprising an injection cylinder for activating a plunger by a pressurized oil, a pressurized oil source, a single hydraulic passage through which the oil is supplied from the oil source to the cylinder, so that the single passage includes the valve therein in such arrangement that upstream and downstream portions of the single passage communicate with the flow inlet and the flow outlet, respectively, whereby the injection operation is switched from low speed injection to high speed injection. The valve comprises a valve body having the above flow inlet and outlet and a valve bore being formed with or without a cylindrical sleeve having at least a radial hole, so that the valve bore communicates with the flow inlet and the flow outlet; a valve spool comprised of a cylindrical rod axially slidably mounted in a tight manner in the valve bore for closing and opening the flow outlet by axial forward and rearward movement thereof relative to the valve body; a screw mechanism, preferably a ball screw mechanism, provided at the rear end of the valve body for transforming rotational movement into axial movement; and a motor capable of controlling the amount of rotation, preferably a pulse motor, provided for driving the valve spool via the screw mechanism, so that the valve spool is forced to move in the axial direction relative to the valve body.

    • Fluid transfer valves having a first and a second actuating means are functionally assembled from a common valve housing having coaxial aligned opposed inlet and outlet ports and a hollow cylindrical interior having four stepped bores, concentrically aligned on a housing cylindrical symmetry axis. A cylindrical sealing solid piston is disposed in the cylindrical deep bore of the housing. A concentric bore in the screw cap secures and provides a close linear alignment path for the sealing solid piston. The cap has multiple concentric radial apertures disposed in an interior integral cap collar, providing a flow path for fluid transfer. A concentric piston channel uniformly disposed in and around the axis of symmetry of the piston provides fluid transfer through the valve on controlled positioning of the piston. A first aperture connects the inlet port to the annular bore surrounding the piston, and a second aperture can connect the outlet port to the piston channel.Concentric O-rings are secured in O-ring channels in the housing hollow interior and on the sealing piston exterior, providing the sealing of the fluid flow path through the valve in any piston position. The fluid transfer is controlled by slidably positioning the sealing solid piston. A three-way valve is provided by modifying the sealing solid piston and housing, providing two separately spaced piston channels on a slidable sealing piston.

    • A valve of simplified construction, adapted to control fluid of high volume and pressure. The valve plunger is a hollow metal tube, that controls fluid flow by moving radial slots in its peripheral wall back and forth across a seal. The plunger is moved by an air or hydraulic cylinder which is connected to the plunger by a plate ring. The plate ring has a series of holes therethrough that allow the line media to flow through, out of and around the plunger to create a balancing effect and thus decrease opposition to movement of the plunger, which opposition may be caused by forces created by the line media. The improved valve utilizes double-acting seals to isolate a down stream port, and to seal off the increase in pressure downstream when the valve is closed.
