    • An apparatus for controlling a fluid flow rate includes a main body having a fluid flow passage and a cavity adapted to receive a flow control body having two or more flow channels therethrough. The flow control body may be moved within the cavity to two or more positions, each position corresponding to fluid communication between the flow passage of the main body and a different one of the flow channels of the flow control body. The flow control body may be held in each position by a detent feature that resists movement of the flow control body until a movement force acting upon the flow control body exceeds a threshold.

    • A valve unit for regulating a flow and a disposable urine bag are provided. The valve unit includes an inlet portion and an outlet portion separated from each other by a slide valve. The slide valve includes a female part in direct communication with the inlet portion and the outlet portion and a male part axially displaceable in liquid-proof contact with the female part. The male part includes a closing position wherein a portion of the male part is outside the female part and an open position wherein the male part allows liquid passage between the inlet portion and the outlet portion by means of a communication part. The female part includes a tubular member open at both ends and having a tubular wall extending along the entire length of the male part in the open position for deterring displacement of the male part to the closed position.

    • A device includes a stem hub attached to a fitting body. A rotatable stem is located at least partially within the stem hub. Rotation of the rotatable stem operates a blocking element located in the fitting body. In an embodiment, an upper stem is coupled to a first end portion of the rotatable stem so that rotation of the upper stem rotates the rotatable stem. A metal seal is located on the stem hub. A portion of the upper stem presses the metal seal between the upper stem and the stem hub when the upper stem is moved towards the stem hub. An operating mechanism moves the upper stem towards the stem hub and away from the stem hub. The upper stem is moved by the operating mechanism in a direction normal to the rotational axis of the rotatable stem and the upper stem.

    • A hand-operated pressure regulating valve for compressed air guns includes a basic valve body with a nozzle passage, threads for connection to a compressed air gun and a nozzle body, a pressure regulating unit and an actuating ring. The regulating unit is held by the ring, with a securing ring, in a bore of the basic valve body. The nozzle passage can be bridged and closed within the bore by a nozzle passage piece. The cross section of the nozzle passage can be reduced and increased by rotation of the ring and displacement of the regulating unit and the passage piece. The regulating unit has a basic body with the passage piece, a spring pin and a compression spring and, in the installed state, the pin projects through the spring out of the basic body and the bore for radial movement transversely and, by rotation of the actuating ring, latches in succession into wells in an inner surface of the actuating ring.

Hereby a disposable valve is accomplished, where it is possible to use a tool for the existing multiple use valves and wherein the disposable valve is easy to operate, and likewise the risk of unintended use thereof is eliminated.

    • A fluid pressure regulator is provided having a housing with an inlet and outlet for fluid, a valve located movably inside the housing and provided with a fluid transport member to allow passage of fluid from the inlet to the outlet. The regulator also has a pressure setting member and a space defined by one end of the valve and an end wall of the housing. The valve is moveable relative to the housing in response to a change in pressure within the space between a first position which at least partially aligns the fluid transport member with each of the inlet and the outlet and a second position in which there is no alignment of the fluid transport member with at least one of the inlet and the outlet. A passage is provided in open communication with the space and one of the inlet, the outlet, and the transport member. Methods of using the pressure regulator are also provided.
