摘要： Described is a hybrid yarn consisting of at least two varieties of filaments, at least one variety (A) having a lower heat shrinkage and at least one variety (B) a higher heat shrinkage than the rest of the filaments of the hybrid yarn, wherein the first variety (A) of filaments has a dry heat shrinkage maximum of below 7.5%, the second variety (B) of filaments has a dry heat shrinkage maximum of above 10%, and its dry heat shrinkage tension maximum is so large that the total shrinkage force of the proportion of the second variety of filaments is sufficient to force the lower-shrinking filaments present to undergo crimping, the optionally present, further filament varieties (C) have dry heat shrinkage maxima within the range from 2 to 200% and at least one of the filament varieties (B) and/or (C) is a thermoplastic filament whose melting point is at least 10.degree. C., preferably 20.degree. to 100.degree. C., in particular 30.degree. to 70.degree. C., below the melting point of the lower-shrinking component of the hybrid yarn. Also described are a process for producing the hybrid yarn and the use of the hybrid yarn for producing permanent deformation capable textile sheet materials and fiber reinforced shaped articles.

摘要： A biodegradable filament nonwoven fabric comprising a nonwoven web made up of filaments, each filament comprising a high melting point component composed of a first aliphatic polyester having biodegradability and a low melting point component composed of a second aliphatic polyester having biodegradability with a melting point lower than that of the high melting point component, the nonwoven web processed to a predetermined nonwoven fabric configuration. At least one of the high melting point component and the low melting point component is arranged in a plurality of divisions within the cross section of the filament. Both the high melting point component and the low melting point component extend continuously in the axial direction of the filament and are exposed on the surface of the filament. A method for manufacturing the biodegradable filament nonwoven fabric is also disclosed herein.

摘要： There is provided a vacuum cleaner filter medium which is a nonwoven spunbond web of conjugate spunbond fibers. The web has a Frazier permeability of at least 250 CFM, an NaCI efficiency of at least 65 percent, a Gurley Stiffness of at least 20 mg, and a pressure drop of 0.5 or less mm H.sub.2 O. The conjugate fibers are made from polymers, more particularly polyolefins, still more particularly polypropylene and polyethylene in a side-by-side configuration. The filter medium is treated by a hot-air knife and through-air bonded during the production process. The medium is also electret treated. The medium has sufficient stiffness to be converted into a filter by conventional techniques. While this invention is directed mainly to air purification and filtration, other gasses may be filtered as well.

摘要： A laminated fabric material suitable for use in wiping human skin has two plies of fibrous material bonded together. Each ply of fibrous material is a nonwoven web of fibers having a fiber composition consisting of at least 50 wt. % thermally fusible plastic fibers to ensure efficient lamination. In particular, one of the plies consists of 100 wt. % thermally fusible plastic fibers. This enables the plies to be ultrasonically bonded together at sufficiently high bonding speeds. In addition, for the side or sides where an image, for example, a logo, is to be bonded into the fabric, the high percentage of thermoplastic fibers is reduced to ensure that the visibility of the image is not diminished due to swelling of the cellulosic fibers during saturation in aqueous solution. The surfaces of at least some of the thermally fusible plastic fibers of both plies are treated to render the plastic fibers hydrophilic, for example, by coating with surfactant. One ply may have fibers which are relatively coarse, while the other ply has fibers which are relatively fine.

According to the invention, the nonwoven is a web, containing no binding agent, of which the g/m2 weight is less than 50, which is produced from fibers in a thermoplastic material, such as polyamide; the mean diameter of the fibers is comprised between 1 and 5 .mu.m, the consolidation of the nonwoven is obtained by intermingling of the fibers by high pressure streams of fluid, notably by injection of water at pressures of 40 to 80 bars, or by thermal bonding. For example, the fibers being obtained from a mixture of constitutents having different melting points, the bonding points result from the melting and bonding of the zones of fibers having the lowest melting point.

摘要： There is described a thermally stable, binder-consolidated spunbonded web formed from load-carrying filaments and binder filaments where the melting point of the binder filaments is less than 30.degree. C below that of the load-carrying filaments.The binder and the load-carrying filaments are preferably made of polyesters. The basis weight of the spunbonded web is within the range between 50 and 500 g/m.sup.2, the denier of the load-carrying and the binder filaments is within the range between 1 and 20 dtex, and the proportion of binder filament is between 5 and 25 percent by weight. The web has a particularly high thermal resistance, i.e. a particularly high resistance to high downstream processing temperatures. It is usable for example as a support material for roofing membranes and as a tufting support and so on.
