    • A method and apparatus for confirming a location of a lost wireless terminal is provided. A location confirmation request of the lost wireless terminal is received by a mobile communication network and identification information of the lost wireless terminal is transmitted to wireless terminals which have joined a location confirmation service of the lost wireless terminal. The wireless terminal which has joined the service searches for a wireless terminal corresponding to identification information coinciding with the identification information of the lost wireless terminal. The wireless terminal which has joined the service transmits a location of the previously searched for lost wireless terminal to the mobile communication network. The mobile communication network manages the received location of the lost wireless terminal.

    • An apparatus and method for re-transmitting erroneous packet data is disclosed. Each of the physical layers of the system includes a buffer, a timer, a controller, and a radio frequency unit. The buffer temporarily stores transmitted data in the form of a final data frame capable of being transmitted on a transmission line without any processing. The timer is a time counter adapted to limit the time, for which the transmission end waits for an acknowledgment to a transmission of data after the data transmission is made. If no acknowledgment signal is received when the timer expires the buffered data in the physical layer is re-transmitted. This reduces the data transmission delay resulting from the inter-layer movement of data generated during a re-transmission of erroneous data, and the transmission delay of packet data resulting from overhead time.

    • An image processing device, method, and medium providing an optimal video signal to users when a video signal is output after predetermined data is overlaid over the video signal. The image processing device includes a separating unit that separates a video signal, an audio signal, and additional information from a broadcast signal, a memory unit that stores a partial video signal corresponding to a predetermined area of an original video signal, the partial video signal obtained by decoding the separated video signal, and a control unit that overlays the separated additional information over the stored partial video signal and outputs a final video signal obtained by overlaying the partial video signal over which the separated additional information is overlaid over the original video signal.
