    • A vehicle bumper structure (3) includes a pair of left and right crush cans (10), a bumper beam (20), an energy absorbing member (30) and a bumper face (35). Each of the crush cans (10) has an outside wall (17) and an inside wall (18), the inside wall (18) having higher longitudinal stiffness than the outside wall (17). When a full-wrap collision occurs at a speed below a specified speed limit, neither of the two crush cans (10) crushes but the energy absorbing member (30) and the bumper beam (35) warp and absorb impact energy. When an offset collision occurs at a speed equal to or above the specified speed limit, on the other hand, one of the crush cans (10) sufficiently crushes and absorbs impact energy in a reliable fashion.
