    • A device for testing a home phoneline network alliance performance of a local network is disclosed. The device includes a first network interface, a second network interface, a test module, and a processor. The first network interface is adapted to connect with the local network through a first type of cable. The second network interface is adapted to connect with the local network through a second type of cable. The test module is connected to the first network interface and to the second network interface, the test module is adapted to receive a test signal transmitted over a cable in the local network. The processor is connected to the test module and is adapted to execute a plurality of program instructions to determine a signal quality for the test signal received over the cable and to output a performance result signal for the cable in the local network based on the signal quality.

    • An electronic device that provides long-lived, but selectively ephemeral access to content is described. In particular, the electronic devices may provide secure content, which was generated based on protection information and the content, to a computer system. After receiving a share command, the electronic device may communicate, to the computer system, a unique token that is associated with a recipient in a communication network and an instruction to enable a recipient electronic device associated with the recipient to view the content. This unique token may allow the computer system to access the content in the secure content, so that the computer system has an ability to provide the content to the recipient electronic device. Moreover, after receiving an un-share command, the electronic device may temporarily or permanently disable the unique token on the computer system, so that the computer system is unable to access the content in the secure content.

    • A method for detecting predetermined fault conditions associated with the supply of AC electrical power to a consumer, the supply having an active conductor and a neutral conductor with the neutral conductor being connected to earth. The method comprises providing a first current detector associated with the active conductor, providing a second current detector associated with the neutral conductor; providing a voltage detector to detect voltage between the active conductor and the neutral conductor, and checking a current ratio of neutral current to active current whereby the current ratio is indicative of a predetermined fault condition. Also disclosed is a method of checking the condition of supply line active and neutral conductors in a consumer's supplied premises including determining the impedance of the active conductor and the impedance of the neutral conductor to indicate the condition of each of the active and neutral conductors.

The method updates an index with the normalized information, and sends a data feed to the client device to populate the user interface on the client device with the normalized information of the index. The user interface allows the user to navigate and select the multimedia content that is available for delivery over the Internet for playback on the media player.
