摘要： An object of this invention is to provide an adsorbent for immunosuppressive substance, which adsorbent can highly efficiently and selectively adsorb an excessive immunosuppressive substance directly from the body fluid, can carry out extracorporeal perfusion safely and can be utilized in treatment of cancer. Such an excessive immunosuppressive substance may be involved in growth of cancer cells. An adsorbent for immunosuppressive substance of the invention includes a water-insoluble carrier and a hydrophilic amino group immobilized to the water-insoluble carrier. An extracorporeal perfusion column of the invention contains the adsorbent of the invention. A method for treating cancer of the invention carries out extracorporeal perfusion using the extracorporeal perfusion column of the invention.

摘要： An adsorbent for immunosuppressive substance, which can adsorb an excessive immunosuppressive substance directly from a body fluid, can carry out extracorporeal perfusion safely and can be utilized in treatment of cancer. The excessive immunosuppressive substance may be involved in growth of cancer cells. The adsorbent for immunosuppressive substance includes a water-insoluble carrier and a hydrophilic amino group immobilized to the water-insoluble carrier. An extracorporeal perfusion column contains the adsorbent of the invention. A method for treating cancer carries out extracorporeal perfusion using the extracorporeal perfusion column. A method of adsorbing the transforming growth factor β which is combined with another protein, includes adsorbing the transforming growth factor β and protein on an adsorbent containing a water-insoluble carrier to which quaternary ammonium groups each having 3 to 18 carbon atoms per one nitrogen atom are attached, and having a specific surface area of 0.1 m2 or more per gram.

摘要： A lead-free solder which can reduce the occurrence of voids and a connecting member which uses the solder and has excellent adhesion, bonding strength, and workability are provided. The lead-free solder alloy contains Sn: 0.1-3% and/or Bi: 0.1-2%, and a remainder of In and unavoidable impurities and has the effect of suppressing the occurrence of voids at the time of soldering. The connecting member is prepared by melting the lead-free solder alloy, immersing a metal substrate in the melt, and applying ultrasonic vibrations to the molten lead-free solder alloy and the metal substrate to form a lead-free solder alloy layer on the surface of the metal substrate. A heat sink and a package are soldered to each other through this connecting member by reflow heating in the presence of flux.

摘要： A lighting device is capable of realizing a stable dimming control in a wide range of light output. The lighting device includes a DC power circuit for providing power to a switching element of the lighting device. A current controller switches the switching element to enable a current to flow from the DC power circuit through a solid state light source and maintain the current from the DC power circuit through the solid state light source current controller at a predetermined current. The current controller includes a first switching controller operable to change a width of an on-pulse provided to the switching element and a second switching controller operable to determine a burst-on time during which the on-pulses determined by the first switching controller are provided to the switching element. The burst-on time is longer than an on-pulse period of the first switching controller.
