    • In the field of optical network communication technologies, a method, a device, and a system for transmitting a constant rate data stream are provided. The method for transmitting the constant rate data stream by the first network device includes: receiving a constant rate data stream; calculating an input rate of the constant rate data stream or a rate difference between the input rate and a standard rate of the constant rate data stream in each cycle of a reference clock; encapsulating the constant rate data stream into a Gigabit-Passive Optical Network (GPON) Encapsulation Method (GEM) frame by using a bit as a minimum encapsulation unit; and encapsulating the GEM frame into a GPON Transmission Convergence Layer (GTC) frame, and sending the GTC frame to the second network device through a GPON network. Therefore, the technical solutions may be widely applied to the GPON network.

    • A safety lighter includes a lighter body comprising a casing defining a liquefied gas chamber for containing a predetermined volume of liquefied gas therein, a supporting frame having an outer sealing surface engaged with an inner surface of the casing, a gas emitting nozzle mounted on the supporting frame to communicate with the liquefied gas chamber, and an ignition device supported by the supporting frame for ignition. A sealing arrangement includes upper and lower sealing rims spacedly and integrally provided along an opening portion of the inner surface of the casing in a step-shouldering manner wherein the upper and lower sealing rims are sealed with the outer sealing surface of the supporting frame to form two sealing lines along the upper and lower sealing rims respectively to sealedly mount the supporting frame on the lighter body for sealedly retaining the liquefied gas within the liquefied gas chamber.

    • A method for producing stable atmospheric pressure glow discharge plasmas using RF excitation and the use of said plasmas for modifying the surface layer of materials. The plasma generated by this process and its surface modification capability depend on the type of gases used and their chemical reactivity. These plasmas can be used for a variety of applications, including etching of organic material from the surface layer of inorganic substrates, as an environmentally benign alternative to industrial cleaning operations which currently employ solvents and degreasers, as a method of stripping paint from surfaces, for the surface modification of composites prior to adhesive bonding operations, for use as a localized etcher of electronic boards and assemblies and in microelectronic fabrication, and for the sterilization of tools used in medical applications.
